It was another hooker that put Ike out of boxing, just as much as it put the hooker out of boxing - that hooker? David Tua.
Yeah, i can see that from his perspective. Given his questionable chin, that's his proper strategy as a PROFESSIONAL. But he's so much better than anyone he's fighting that it would help his status if he took SOME chances once in a while instead of being 100% calculated and safe. He's only getting KOs because he's that much better than his opponents and not because he's going after the kill.
Look, i know Wlad is a heck of a HW. But it just doesn't attract fans when he's 100% safe with his style. He takes no chances. He only gets KOs because his safe, 1-2 approach works. He's not fan friendly. Talented and good? Yes. Fan friendly? Hell no.
But perhaps you are overlooking his fan base in Germany. The Klitschkos is super stars in parts outside the US.
I hope this fight make the hater Atlas to not pick against him. Because He pick even bums to defeat the klitschko's.
yah coming from a guy with Bhop in his avatar? I would think you utterly appreciate a boring yet effective fighter.
Remember American-born actor David Hasselhoff has sold a bunch of records over in Europe .. apparently it is not always the quality of the talent that matters but some other "inexplicable" attribute.
Hopkins doesn't have physical advantages over his opponents. It's usually the other way around where he has to do everything he can to out think his opponents to compensate for his physical disadvantages. When he does have advantages, he goes after it. Pavlik is a good example.
Only for his singing :rofl:rofl:rofl And five years from now they'll be buying "Wlad Klitschko Sings The Hits Of The 2000s" .. he'll be Chris Cornell but without the talent (hmm .. sort of like the Lennox Lewis impression he performs as a boxer to salivating crowds against "C" level comp today).
