uhmmm.....after 147, they demand that Pac fight at 154 till he reach heavyweight. if pac cant do it, they will ridicule him and call him a bogus and fraud atg by not fighting what they percieved as the best along the way.:D

thats how pathetic some of the mentalities here in esb.

Pacquiao is also the first ever to hold the lineal title in four different weight divisions.

the same reason someone has to defend someone.

    it should be considered healthy.

I doubt it's going to be questionable, he arguably has the best resume among active fighters today and even if he retires today his status as an ATG cannot be questioned.

But it's easy to see why a lot of people would be disappointed. A lot of fans just want to be able to witness an incredible fighter climb higher and higher mountains of opposition and a lot of fans feel that Pac is the man to do tha. It would certainly be disappointing for us fans to see Pac suddenly put on the brakes when his rise to the top was meteoric.

Basically a lot of fans feel that Pac can do so much more and we would love to see him do it (or fail trying) and even a Pac-fan like me would be disappointed if he didn't. But we have to be able to step back and realize that Pac already has done so much already and that it would be silly to think that his legacy isn't already cemented.

I agree completely, and the part I bolded I find especially sad.

This is Shane Mosely we're talkin' about.

Roach needs treated or cerebral rectosis.

I have an issue with that statement and that's regarding ALL fighters. If you sign to fight at that weight then I don't wanna hear any excuses about you shouldn't be at that weight.

If Shane drops to 143 or 144 to fight Pac he'll get his ass beat just like Oscar. I hope you enjoy that.

Im saying He should go back to 147 and beat Cotto,Shane, floyd at their best so when he does he can leave no doubts in anybodys mind and show that hes simply the better fighter, now if he makes all 3 drop some weight to fight him and beats them, theres always going be people that feel Manny didnt beat the real mosley,Manny didnt beat the real Cotto or Floyd, there going to critizise him and question those fights and not give him any credit ,dats y he should fight all of them at their best and if he beats them, then theres nothing to criticize him about, theres nothing 2 be questioned...He proved that hes simply the better fighter Pe@ce

try to look at it on the other side of the coin.

following your dumbass logic, if and ever cotto, mosley or even pbf beats pacquiao at 147, they will also be criticized for beating a midget who isn't a real welterweight as well. And they will get no credit as well.

The only reason Pacquiao fought at 147 is because that's pretty much the lowest Oscar could go without killing himself. Everyone wanted a piece of Oscar. It's a guaranteed career-high purse. That made logical sense. Guys would've killed themselves to make whatever weight they could to fight Oscar. If he fought Oscar at 154, then he wouldn't even have had a chance.

Now he doesn't have to go to 147. He's not a welterweight. He's already made the jump.

This is like complaining about Roy Jones after he beat John Ruiz because he didn't stay at heavyweight and fight Lewis. It's not his division.

Like it's been mentioned before, when Pacquiao was a featherweight, did any of you imagine he would move up to 140, let alone 147? He's the lineal champion at junior welterweight without having to cut weight. Him putting on any extra weight would make him worse. He has a ceiling and he's hit it.
