That's basically what I was thinking.

Neither of them could probably ever beat Leonard, but at least Cuevas had a theoretical puncher's chance. What is Benitez going to do?

I dont see any of them beating SRL for the simple reason that I would give Benitez a better chance than Cuevas & Leonard has already dominated & stopped Benitez, Wilfredo doesnt have enough firepower to beat Leonard, that was his problem vs both SRL & Hearns.
We saw Cuevas-Hearns, Ray stops him also, no doubt.

Answer to your thread question tho - Benitez.

Cuevas, Benitez already had his chance where Pipino's chances are not shot lol. But he's not winning.

Actually I change my mind..I can see what people are talking about now.

Pipino will throw everything he has at Leonard..He may not have great technical skills, he might not have the best defense but he has power in spades.

99 times out 100 Leonard will beat him and probably stop him..But he has the power to just maybe land that shot that could end it..or break a bone that changes to dynamic of the fight..Like how when Ray was rocked by Duran.

Wilfred couldnt beat Leonard doing what he does best..he was outsped, outboxed and totally punked in the counterpunching role.
Whats he going to do really? Outbrawl him? Go all out for a KO? Not really what he does...but thats Pipino does.

Neither have any real significant chance, leonad proved he was a better fighter than benitez and i doubt if they rematched it would have been any different. I'd possibly give cuevas a slightly higher chance as his power was chilling but if a better puncher in hearns couln't knockout leonard i doubt pipino could either

Benitez doesnt have the power to hurt Leonard. They already proved that in their fight.

Cuevas does. and I'm not talking theoretically. When pipino goes on the attack there's nothing that can stop him or slow him down. It's like being in the ring with an armed killer.

and Leonard doesnt have the power to do anything about it.

If Duran beat Ray by using presure tactics I hate to think what Pipino and all his awesome weaponry dould have done. I see extensive damage being meted out on Ray.

I dont doubt that leonard is the better all around fighter

Just as Terry Norris was much the better between himself and Jackson but when confronted by so much raw power, the more skillful boxer must eventually fall.

I like Leonard, an all time great but Cuevas is all wrong for him

That'sthe thing I've noticed about Hagler, that he has the uncanny ability to raise his performance to whatever degree he so desires. As in the Sibson fight, Hamsho, Lee, Hearns. You get the idea
