Even though he lost, I thought Ruslan looked good.

He may not have landed much, but his head movement is head and shoulders above everyone else in the division.

However, he really needs to learn to use some lateral movement, and do more work on the inside.

And even though he didn't land much, I thought his effort was above most guys who fight Klitschko. He stayed in Wlad's range and tried to score a good counter but just couldn't.

I still think he could win some fights at HW...and actually, he might fare better against Vitali...Vitali may have a better offense but at times he is dying to be countered...extremely wide open after punches.

I actually thought he showed pretty good speed. He really didn't get caught with much for a number of rounds but he couldn't get his punches off when in range.

I also thought he made the fight at least competitive and entertaining.

He looked like **** IMO. He continuelly circled to Wlad's power hand, tried to box Wlad from the outisde, barely even tried to rough Wlad up and take him out of his comfort zone. I thought he looked medicore in the skills department at best. Wlad had a slow moving punching bag infront of him, it dont get much easier than that.

I disagree with every part of this post except that he shouldn't circle to Wlad's power hand.

  8. It was nowhere near competitive :huh

and you don't have to be that quick to dodge some of those slow jabs Wlad was throwing out there, but he still got hit by the majority of them, most of them went straight thru his guard

I found it pretty competitive. People are painting this as Ruslan taking a horrific beating...I didn't see it that way at all.

He lost, and by the end he didn't have much of a chance, but he stayed in there with Wlad and didn't get caught with a lot of flush shots at all. His head movement kept Wlad working.

And where are you guys getting this "slow jabs" stuff from? Wlad has an extremely fast jab for a HW and had it yesterday...

  10. I didn't say every jab he threw was slow.

The best shot he landed was after the bell!! Did you guys see that?? Caught Wladimir right on the chin.

Ruslan would KO Haye no doubt.

I always wondered where the "White Tyson" moniker came from and I think people who've not yet seen him just assume it means he's some monster in-fighter. My hunch is it actually comes just from his head movement, which is very Mike-like.
