Pretty soon we will be two years in.... Haye still having not fought again yet... and reading these types of articles....

"I am absolutely gutted that I wasn't able to follow through with my last fight. I strained me left vocal cord whilst givin' an interview to Bunce yesterday. However, I assure you that Wladimir is a fraud and if he ever dares to step into the ring with me, he won't be able to deal with the angles that I come from. All of the top contenders and champions that he keeps beating are bums. They can't do anything right. Wladimir is still riding high off of the 3 proposed fights that we had, in which I regretfully had to pull out of. I am the real draw in the heavyweight division and Wladimir needs me to make money."

He knows that Sam Peter has gone nowhere but SOUTH ever since Wlad dominated him while Sam was at his best. Wlad wasn't even near his best at that point.

 Wrong again Widdow, Peter just turned 25 that very month and was obviously as green as the White Houses lawn. Wlad on the other hand was already a WBO champ and had over 40 bouts under his belt at that point.

Peter was never even close to being dominated by Wlad, who was one that got floored several times, had panic attacks, and excessively clinched his way to victory? It sure wasn't Peter. All 3 judges had Wlad winning by three points on there scorecard, hardly a dominant performance by any means. Vitali on the other hand dominated Peter, and handled Samuel a **** load better than Wlad did.

    Peter lost 10 if 12 rounds. That's domination.

Especially considering that was a Wlad still getting his bearings and in the middle of trying to transition into Manny Steward's style. Peter should pray to JEEEZZZUUUTH... and thank him every night that he wasn't facing Wlad as he is today. Especially Sam Peter the way that he is today on top of that. Sam was in the greatest shape of his life for that fight, and at his most confident.

Currently there is more money out there fighting others as opposed to mandatories.

Non mandatory- Wlad-Haye: Sold out a 60,000 capacity arena, Generates worldwide interest, HBO want to screen the fight, Setanta (a subscription service) also are determined to show the fight.

Mandatory- Wlad-Rahman: Fills an arena with a third of the capacity of Veltins, No-one watches it outside of Germany and a handful of other countries.

See a pattern emerging? The belts don't mean everything, mate.

How can you say someone "excessively clinched" his way to victory? Clinching is a legal tactic. It exists for a reason, and that's to take tactical control of the action.

As for the knockdowns, it is well known that two of them were really slips. Referee Randy's Newman's reputation badly soured as a result of his handling of this fight.

I am glad that Haye recognizes that Klitschko is the cure for insomnia because he knows that if he meets Klitschko in the ring that he is going to be the only one going to sleep!!!!

This guy hasn't done $hit to deserve a shot except for run his mouth. If Haye really thought he was going to win that fight he would have taken it with or without the British tv money. First, the hand then the back, please! This guy is a joke at heavyweight and would not even last as a sparring partner for Klitschko!

Excessively clinching is not a legal tactic, you will get warned, have points taken away, and if thats your only means of surviving, you will be DQ'd. I cant remember what Tyson oppenent was DQ'd for clinching Tyson excessively, I believe it was Fergusson(Spell check).

Wlad/Peter fight was dirty from the get go, but you cant really blame Peter all that much. When a fighter turns his back to you and holds onto every couple seconds, you begin to get a little mad. Both Peter and Wlad should of been warned for their illegal tactics, though Newman let both men fight as they wished.

Wow.Whether you love or loathe Haye the guy deserves alot of respect.I wasnt his biggest fan at first but the guys grown on me.I cant help but like him.He should be running a mile after last nights performance as Wlad technically looked better than ever but he still wants it.Whether hes deluded or just hyper confident he nearly always says the right things to the media which keeps interest in this fight, whether he goes on to fight another contender or not Haye v Klit is still the fight everyone wants to see :yep
