Yeah ok. I'm not gonna even waist time with you any more, cause I already where your heads at. You were ranting about this in the other thread. Cotto would fight Clottey again a heartbeat and beat him even more convincingly next time. And theirs nothing in that that tells me that he wouldn't.

I didn't think it was a robbery either against Clottey. Cotto chose to box Clottey and stood off when he had him on the ropes so he could dap at his eye. Had there been no cut- I think round 6 is the way the fight would have went for the remaining rounds. He was just too worried about getting caught on the inside and didn't wanna trade as much as he could have, IMO. That said, I'm sure someone will disagree with me and call me an idiot...

:lol: Again you bring Mayweather into this discussion why?

Im bias against what? The fact thats theres no evidence to support your claim.

The fact that Vegas has come out and cleared Margo. The fact that Vegas issues there own tape and gauze.

Or do you want the fact that Cotto said Margarito didn't cheat against him

Which is it? I think you are the one being clearly bias here.

he doesnt get a whole lot of credit because he didnt walk through clottey like people were absurdly expecting.

mosley on the other hand, he koed margaritos ass as an underdog. thats why people arent hating on him as much, he looked way better.

i can tell you where my head aint at it aint up cottos arse. The way the styles match up the fight wouldnt play out that much different. Even before the cut clottey was getting through with his shots a lot easier and cotto was finding arms cloves and couldnt create his own openings. Thats what you have to do with a guy like clottey the pounding on the gloves brute force thing doesnt work you have to be smart and cotto didnt have the intelligence to execute he tried to just pound on his elbows and arms and try and force his shots through and it wasnt working.

we all know who are the people that hate cotto in all boxing websites... at the end of the day even his haters won't miss a cotto fight at all and would rather watch him fight than their favorite fighters... he brings everything to the table, fights the top which many try to avoid "too much risk, low reward"... cotto would be the type when he retires, everyone will start appreciating him more after hes gone... not a lot of fighters like him are left right now in this era of boxing and no one can't argue that... you could look real good with top names, but not great fighters, its just their status and fan base that makes them popular... in cottos case hes fighting the real top guys, which lack the fan base... making it harder for people and fans to appreciate what hes doing... its hard to look good all the time when your fighting the opponents he is facing :good

Cotto is one of the most beloved fighters among fight fans. Hardly disregarded.

The two most rabid Cotto haters are Mayweather fans and Williams' fans.

Mayweather fans are bitter that every other fan base is saying that the man ducked Cotto. And Williams' fans want to think that Cotto would be the easiest fight for Paul @ 147 and would catapault him to the top like he should be, but apparently it's Cotto's fault for "ducking him." When Cotto has already stated that he'd fight him and that it was actually Arum (its always that snakey ****er) who told Paul to go **** himself.

Eventually after looking at what Cotto has done and is capable of. He's the top WW. He's fought damn near nothing BUT top 10 ranked WW with Gomez and Jennings aside. And has stopped all but Mosley, Margarito and Clottey (all granite chinned fighters)

That tape and guaze **** don't fly, because that doesn't say that you can't slip in the plaster pads so stop saying this b.s. I don't see nothing special about floyd, and your point?

    Sup dude.

Truth is, it's pretty logical that vs the elite he doesn't perform as well as he does vs lesser opponents. The better the opponent, the more difficult it is to dominate him. Still, Cotto deserves credit for the Mosley and Clottey wins, and imo he more or less gets the credit he deserves.

But he has weaknesses, he's not "untouchable". Still, he manages to stay right at the top of the division along with very few others, and we're talking about a division packed with talent.

    Plaster? Margarito didn't have plaster.

    Get your facts straight.

This boxing forum is about opinions most of the time. You dont see anything special about Floyd good for you. the rest of the board probably thinks your a blind tool
