Floyd is supremely skilled at his craft

He di not make a sweeping genralization. He made a statement based on his own observations. And honestly, I have to agree. Most of the people who criticize him are of another race. Let us not be fooled. Boxing, from a fans point of view, is a very racist and nationalistic sport. Extremely. It has always had the history of such, in the U.S.

I personally don't see anything wrong with rooting for the guy that looks like you and has your same culture, etc. I just hate that people try to act like they can't admit it.

 

at the end of the day, you dont know any of these fighters personally. even the guys who think are nice guys in boxing, could be complete assholes behind close doors, you dont know. the most sensiable to judge a fighter, is by who they fight and how they fight since that their occupation, fighters.

 

For the record I respect Mayweather's talent and think one this generations greatest boxers if not the greatest, I however can't stand him outside of the ring for the following reasons:

“They talk about Floyd Mayweather duckin’ and dodgin’ opponents. Listen. I’m trying to fight the number one guy. If the number one guy can’t fight, then I’m fightin’ the number two guy. If I can’t fight number two, I’m fighting number three.”

Mexicans root for mexicans, Filipinos root for Filipinos, black people root for black people. I personally think race plays a part in determining who you like and not who you hate. But hey, if you wana put out the race card to explain the hate, it's your choice.

 

Nah it has nothing to do with Who Floyd fights. That is all bull****....And the proof is people saying that he was scared to fight Gatti, he did and beat the **** out of him then it was cherrypicking, People said once he signed to fight Oscar..NOW we will see what Floyds got, Oscar will beat him, but after the fight it was Floyd cherrypicking...Floyd was scared to fight Hatton but after he did it was cherrypicking. That wont change no matter who floyd fights. As that "I HATE FLOYD" Article that was posted here about a month back said.....Mosley is OLD, Pac is SMALL, Margo got thrashed by Mosley, Cotto isnt THE SAME, and Williams would be weight drained. The haters loved that anti-floyd Article, but so did I...It was the proof that I hve been waiting for from a Floyd hater. What that author did was put all the excuses that they will use when Floyd starts to fight and beat those fighters.

As a Lakers fan and a Kobe fan, I have seen those very double standard apply to them and him. Everytime one of the SO_CALLED reasons are disspelled another pops up in its place..All in a effort to hide what is the underling problem...FLAT OUT HATE, no matter what is done there will be a reason not to credit floyd for what he does in the ring.:good

 

I can say the same thing about wlad klit. WHy dont people like him. His haters are irrational! why are most of the fans of his white? why does i see alot of white guys always cheering him on and not black guys????? They dont understand white euro culture.blah blah blah see how ****ing stupid that sounds?

 

well the race thing, people are afraid to talk about so you gotta be careful with that topic. mayweather MAIN critisim is the calibur of opponets he fights. thats the main gripe, but being a young black man that does talks alot of **** all while being the best fighter on the planet, dosent help his cause either so he becomes a bigger target for scrutiny

 

wel you can only soeak for yourself, you cant speak for everybody. hes entitled to his opinion, no matter how wrong he is.

 

Why did everyone love tyson then? Did they know more about black culture back then? has white america forgotten somthing?

Black culture is not flamboyant. Trash talking has nothing to do with ethnicity. Black folk are decent people, so we should stop saying being an ******* is part of black culture.

Ali talked a lot of trash, but his career was fantastic and had a human interest story for the books. Tyson was one hell of a talker, but was a badass that truly entertained. Mosley is well spoken and what's there not to like.

Now Floyd on the other hand makes it impossible to like him. So stop complaining that people hate/dislike him, 'cause he doesn't do things to allow people to do so. Maybe that's just the way he wants it, so leave it be.

Personally, I'm indifferent to his life story because it's average. Boxer family, middle class upbringing, started in the amateurs then went pro. He tries to talk trash but comes across as "trying hard" (i.e. he's a good small man but i'm a great big man", "who he beat, who he beat"). He bores me. There is nothing special about his style, his life, his career, his extra-curriculars. He is just plain average. Maybe that is why I don't like him= he says he's the best of all time but he just comes across as just an insecure boxer that can not inspire.

tyson was knocking peple the hell out. and tyson never ducked anybody. the principle matter with mayweather is his opponents. now does race play a role, could be. you cant say you're sure it dosent at all, 100%

 

Well i personally think the race card shouldnt be pulled out for every small ****ing thing. Its starting to become like the boy who cried wolf. The race card is becoming a joke nowadays. And people like this are the reason why its happening
