Like i said' people who don't understand the culture think its being an *******. Im from the hood. When we compete we talk **** all day, but no of us take it persoanlly, we know its just competitive swagger. But a lot of non african americans don't get that.

He takes it a bit too far, I think?

No one can argue that he's not a highly skilled and brilliant boxer but his out of the ring persona is nothing but abrasive.

I say that because based on what I've gathered from watchin' 24/7 he's probably a great guy around his family when the cameras aren't on.

    Ty Cobb was an *******.

Doesn't stop him being the greatest ever ball player, does it.

    Kobe Bryant is a ******.

Doesn't stop him being the greatest since Jordan, does it.?

Hate Floyd - that's fine, I don't like his personality either. But the skills and work ethic? If you can't respect that - go become a Chuck Liddell fan, because you're nothing more than a redneck.

This isnt a ****ing basketball game. Its boxing. Mayweather talks all this **** about kicking ass and not ducking anyone. Then when he gets in the ring he runs around pot shoting trying not to get hit. How is that kicking ass? Hes also one of the biggest duckers out their. That has nothing to do with basketball games in "da hood"

albeit mma is filled with and watched by many rednecks. Chuck is actully not that bad of a fighter. And his work ethic is very good. Its just that he fights really ugly, and mma sucks. That dosent mean he dosent have skills though.

I think even the haters respect the work ethic and skill. I think it's the combination of the personality and the resume that really gets to them.

You just showed your ignorance or stupidity. The whole essence of boxing is the art of hitting without being hit and yet to criticize him for doing just that.

In your first post you ****ing imbecile.

You claim Non-african Americans don't like Floyd because he's a typical outspoken black athlete, but they like Mosely because he's a quiet and respectful black man (the kind of black man that Non-African Amercians liek).

    How ****ing dumb are you?

Nope. you just showed your genius. I never said i dont like the boxing aspect of the sport. I just said that I dont like how floyd talks all this **** like hes going to be aggresive and put a beating down on someone, and then hes comes to the fight and acts really catious and backs up ect... I think thats called not backing your **** up in "da hood" If your gonna outbox somone, dont talk **** like your gonna be running through him to sell your fights

How dumb are you? There's no mention of racism. Im saying Floyd is from the Ghetto and displays a lot of beahavior that many black athletes have and is despised for it. Shane doesn't and is liked. hence, people don't understand the culture. Man you're dumb.

Liddell has a good sprawl technique and has some natural power, but his skills aren't that high in my view, wide arm punches that only land because most of the MMA fighters have never seen a real punch before.

All you need at 205 is a strong punch and a sprawl defense, you'll beat everyone there, although Lyoto Machida may change that up.

As for work ethic - he's the guy that's out drinking in night clubs the week before a fight, constantly had mini pot bellies in his fights. The guy was a good guy but he wasn't a skillful fighter.

MMA is a joke - when a guy can come out of fake wrestling and an attempt at NFL and beat a legend of your sport, just months before a previous title holder and universal Top 10 MMA fighter gets spanked by a 50 yr old boxer who was never that good anyway.. god.

Disclaimer: Fedor, Anderson Silva, Matt Hughes, BJ Penn and George St Pierre are all highly skilful fighters. Notice the win streaks they go on? Why is it everyone else has a pretty high win/loss percentage like Liddell, Wanderlai Silva, Rampage Jackson, etc.

As for Floyd's resume - what do you want the guy to do? Fight everyone and anyone for $1 a fight?

Just the same way most of the people who cheerlead for Floyd are black, right?

FYI, I don't base my support of a sportsman on his skin colour or nationality, or whether he looks like me or has the same culture.

No doubt many people do, but I don't.

Floyd acts like a ****, people respond in kind, end of equation.

The OP is trying to justify Floyd acting like a **** by claiming it's racist misunderstanding on the part of those who dislike him, at the same time he Uncle Toms Shane Mosley.

Who's the racist in this thread you might ask :yep

Oh so he's supposed to say "Im gonna fight a tactical battle" when tryna promote a fight worth millions. And he still whoops ass whether he fighting agressive or backing up. He rocked Hatton several times before stopping him. Thats seems like an ass whooping to me.
