Very informative post. Thank you for sharing, and I will be sure to add those recommendations to my list of fights I need to see.

    :thumbsup

Incidentally, what is your view on the bottle scandal?

So you are absolutely convinced something was amiss?

Do we don't know what really transpired, but the Collins fight evidence and what Thread Stealer posted, certainly does bring things into question even more so.

We know about the Resto deal with Lewis (that's proven), and if TS info is valid (no reason to doubt it), it just more so makes the black bottle more likely. As most of us suspect.

So the bottle supposedly contained some wacky concoction of orange juice, cocaine, and honey?

I just find this whole thing outrageously humorous for some reason or another, probably because I did not live through it (and to date, I never even saw their first encounter).

First of all, anything other than water in a water bottle is illegal. The fact that it was mixed with another substance, regardless of what that substance actually was, means wrongdoing went on. Even if it was a shitload of powdered sugar, it was illegal.

As for what the substance actually was, I've always figured it was speed.

Understood, but what if he simply misspoke when he said "mixed"? Is that entirely outside the realm of reason?

I prefer to believe it was cocaine, honey, and orange juice.

Usually smart people whatch the first fight (or whatever, even if is not a fight) first, and then whatch the second part, and so on..... but seems to be that you watched the second part first and come over here and ask questions about the second fight and expect people to agree with you when in the first place you have no clue of what you are talking about.....

The reason I watched the 2nd fight first was simply because I DVR whatever boxing fights are on, and the rematch was recently aired.

Regardless, what exactly am I supposedly expecting people to "agree with me on"?

    Please, enlighten me.

You are downplaying the facts and making fun of it in the process... and you expect people to agree with that?????

    I'm making fun of it?

    Are you ****ing serious?

All I've done is made honest inquires and spoken my mind. I'm curious to learn more about this and am especially interested in hearing perspectives and opinions from those who lived through the times.

Is that such a bad thing?

I am not expecting anyone to agree with anything. For ****'s sake, I haven't even taken a position myself on anything, so how the hell am I trying to persuade people to agree with me?

Do I find the idea of a mystery bottle filled with OJ, llello, and honey to be humorous? Yeah, I do.

As far as me "downplaying" or "making fun" of anything, that's utter bull****.

My intentions are honest, and I believe any reasonable person who has read my posts herein would agree with that.

I will continue making inquiries about this, as I am interested in hearing more opinions on the matter. If you don't like it, go **** yourself.

Then go **** yourself and stay the **** out of the thread if you're not going to share your views.

In 3 posts, all you have done is attacked me, you have not contributed jack ****.

For those still interested in expressing their views (in particular those who followed the sport when this was happening), I am still genuinely interested in hearing your views and opinions on this.

Totally agree, but we still don't know regardless. There's a great chance wrong doing was at play, and i am about to quote a post that basically proves at best wrong was indeed done.
