The boy is already 25 and super bantam and still growing in weight. But he needs to be tested by veteran fighters like Vasquez or Marquez if he can really fill the shoes of Pac. Pac at his age was already a featherweight champ. The time for him to shine is now. Pac at 22 was already a super bantamweight champ.

If Gamboa develops a descent defense then I think he's got an excellence chance of one day being the sport's cash cow; more so than Juanma.

We're trying to compare Juanma and Pac at Super Bantamweight. Juanma is champ at 25 and Pac was champ at 22. Pac was a defacto lineal featherweight champ at 24 when he knocked out Barrera.

I think on second thought, Juanma has got a lot of catching up to do. But he has the potential if his handlers would decide to give him the real fights and stop fighting upstarts.

The guy already said that he will move up to featherweight next year because they are not so much good fights at that weight and He wil move sonner if he can't get a fight with Marquez or maybe Caballero the only two good fights at that weight.

How come he's still fighting the likes of Penaloza at age 25, I mean at junior featherweight. While Pac at this age was already the champ in featherweight fighting the likes of Barrera, Marquez, and later Morales. I think Ledwabah whom Pac knocked out at superbantamweight will give Juanma a hard time.

I'm sorry I may be diverting a bit from the topic when we compared his records vs. Pac. But I still believe he has the potential to become great if his handlers won't overprotect him. Give the boy the best fights to prove himself.

absolutely. I'm just so glad that I've been able to watch him live 3 times for free. How many world class boxers let you do that in the United States?

Also include Vazquez. Potential fights for Juanma in feathers are Gamboa, Concepcion, Luevano, or even Linares at Super Featherweight.

Yeah, right. The time is now.

Who's he fighting next, btw? Why not Mayol for a start?

Speed? Is it really just speed? Speed is always over-rated. Were Duran, Benitez, Frazier, Tyson or any other puncher "Fast" ? Their POWER made up for the lack of speed by a long shot. This kid is a hard puncher. Watch out!

I like this guy Gamboa. I would like him to do a Larios fighting the likes of Guzman, Soto, or Valero as a tune fight. You'll never know what will happen. Pac did it to Barrera.

Hatton has the speed but has no timing and defense. Marquez may lack the speed but has the timing w/ his counterpunches.
