So I gather it's either Pac or Floyd or bust for him?

It's pretty safe to say then we wont see him in action for a while.

If he is quoted right, the effects of senility must have taken its toll on him. It goes without saying that he is entitled to fight what he perceived as easy lucrative fights. He should be careful on what he asks for.

I'm disappointed to hear Shane say this, but ultimately it's his decision on who he fights. He wants the big bucks. Unfortunately, he is putting himself on the shelf until the big fights come to him. He hasn't even defended his title. I think, as far as World Champions go, this is disgraceful behavior and he should relinquish his belt to someone willing to defend their title againse anyone.

Agree with him. At his age, and after what he's accomplished, he doesn't need to be fighting the high-risk little-reward fights against guys with no mainstream appeal. Big fights or nothing.

In other words, his career is now at twilight zone. He needs big money for his retirement ....... and divorce expenses. I pity the guy for not getting the fight he wants.

I don't like inactivity in fighters. I think he'll get his shot after the dust has settled with Mayweather/Marquez/Cotto/Pacquiao, but that'll probably be like late 2010 when he gets a chance to fight one of them. Clottey and Williams are high-risk/low-reward, but I don't think Berto is a huge risk. It's not what he's looking for now, but it's still a unification bout, HBO would like it and put up the money for it. I think that'd be a good fight for Mosley to take while he waits for the outcome of these other high profile fights.

Shane lost me as a fan after he did absolutely **** all in the last round against Cotto. He would have entered into the 12th knowing that he was down on the scorecards, but he basically just coasted throughout the round without letting his hands go. To me that showed he really lacked heart, and it is this reason I would much rather see any Cotto or Pacquiao fight over Shane.

Just reminded me how Clottey lacked heart in those final rounds against Cotto. He really only has himself to blame.

Where exatly did u read "all he wants is a 140lb Pac-Man"? :huh
I saw this nowhere in the quote.

Im with shane. He only has a few big fights left, he should really make the most out of them.

Anyways, he needs to stay active so who to fight. As someone before me said, berto would not be too much of a risk for a relatively small purse. I don't really see how clottey would be too much of a risk for shane. Shane has a great chin, is faster and more powerfull than clottey, and he is also more active in the fight. I think shane takes berto easily and deals with clottey quite handily. There is also the opportunity for a rematch with cotto which is a fight I would pay to see.
