    And how to take advantage.

I think Wlad moves back in straight lines a lot, but gets away with it because he can lean back out of range. I think a tall boxer who has a similar reach and some power could take advantage, or a fighter with very good handspeed and power.

As for Haye I think its clear he keeps his left hand too low, far too low. The way to take advantage of this is to have a good stiff jab, or the ability to hook well off the jab.

    :huh

My advice to Haye would be this: wlad's biggest weakness is that he can't fight, he can box but not fight and he has no confidence in his chin. When the first bell rings, charge straight out of the blocks and throw a big wild punch before he throws his first jab. Every time he misses a punch, jump on him, doesn't matter if you miss, just keep it up, intimidate him. If you find yourself at armslength keep your gloves high but not peekaboo fashion, extend them and try to hid your head-the jab is always coming first. Don't accept clinches, if he grabs you be rough with him, stick your head under his chin, punch him on the hip, etc. throw combinations and go to the body.

My advice to Wlad would be: Just do what you do, he's a powerful puncher and he's got a lot of bottle but his power comes from loading up mostly, be confident that your stamina is better than his and be methodical, feint before you jab, forget the idea of carrying him for twelve rounds, if you hurt him, finish him off but be cautious. Use your size. If you see him dip, back away because he's going to lunge and he's fast and can throw from different angles. He's most dangerous early, look for a mid to late rounds stoppage. Don't be overconfident, he's smaller but he's very powerful. Don't paw with the jab but don't overcommit either, use feints.

I think Haye's biggest problem from a techncial point of view is in his footwork. He looks ungainly to me, and when he's rushed he makes stepping mistakes. Could be fatal.

:thumbsup Yes what that man said!

I also think Wlad needs to use his jab when haye comes in or lunges in, too often ...when someone attacks......wlad will just move back away or clinch then once hes set start to fire off the jab again.

Yep a clinch is a great weapon, ask Ali, the best clincher in Heavy History out side of Ruiz.

Wlad is afraid to take chances because he wants to use his jab to wear down his opponents and win on points, but it works for him and he is very good at it.

Haye has got speed and power and he will not be afraid to take chances, if he hit Wlad Wlad will be in trouble..... thats IF he hits Wlad.

Wlad doesn't "walk backwards", WHEN he does it, he JUMPS backwards with a long leap keeping both arms in the way of possible right or left hooks. The only chance you have with that would be to jump into a ****ing jab. Does anyone think Hayes jab can render Wlad unconscious, or anyone else for that matter ? If so, that is so delusional it isn't funny.

Ya but how confident is Haye in his own ability to take a punch to give a punch. If he got caught by a straight while he's lunging in and got stunned he might be in trouble.

Another flaw for Haye is that he is quite small (compared to Wlad). Some pics he looks half the size.

Haye has terrible balance. When he misses with the big haymaker, he often has trouble regaining balance and remaining on his feet. Wlad's hands are very quick and times counters very fast if he sees the opportunity. The first time Haye throws a big right hand that misses will be the last moment of the fight.

My advice to Wlad if Haye plays the rough macho-man - grab him and throw him around the ring with your superior strength. Give a **** about being gentleman, throw him on the ground HARD with Muay Thai clinch throws. Throw him into the corner post. Throw him into the ropes and immediately fire as big an uppercut as you can while he is off balance. Throw him through the ropes. Throw him, throw him, throw him. Make the f*ckheads go ape wild infront of the TV screens how "unfair" you are. Be a real *******, and proud of it.

You want Haye to get knocked out Rahman style by a half-hook 1-2, or a left hook ?

Other than that, you made a lot of good points.

Haye carries his left very low but that's his stance. If he perfects that shoulder roll he won't have a problem. Wlad is not used to a strong but light fighter who can duck, weave, box, and dart in and out as fast as Haye can. Hayes small stature is an advantage.

Chaaev may stand with a high guard and plod forward, Haye certainly won't.
