GBP and its boxers were involved in the latest cancellations of some fights...

    1. Haye (a GBP boxer) got injured and pulled out from his fight Vladimir Klitscho... Vladimir proceeded to fight Chagaev (the replacement for Haye) and HBO didn't even pick up that fight to broadcast (ESPN did)...

    2. Mayweather Jr. got injured and postponed his July 18 showdown with JMM (a GBP boxer)... This fight is co-promoted by Mayweather Promotions and GBP...

    3. Chris John (a GBP boxer) is ill and pulled out from his June 27 fight with Juarez (another GBP boxer)... This fight is part of a GBP promoted card to be shown on HBO Boxing After Dark...

I think these series of fight cancellations does no good to GBP's reputation...

GBP monopolized most of HBO boxing dates and it showed that it cannot deliver the goods...

HBO should re-evaluate its preference on which promoters to give these valuable HBO dates... GBP gets most of these dates and other promoters were even complaining of favoritism...

It's more of because GBP got most of the best fighters - best fighters are the ones HBO covers, then injuries happens. So when an HBO fight got cancelled (HBO only covers premierre fighters), then high likely one of the fighter is promoted by GBP.

I do not have the necessary evidence to nack my statement but this is all David Haye's fault. Everything started going downhill after he pulled out. The dominoes started falling right after. Fukk you David Haye.

GBP got most of the best fighters?? I highly doubt this... GBP fight cards are more hyped but doesn't live up to expectations... A bad card reflects the quality of the boxers and the promoter...

The loss of Victor Ortiz didn't help GBP's case with HBO either...

Don't think they're pissed at them, injuries are a part of this sport and HBO know this better than anyone.

Yep injuries are part of the game but 3 injuries involving major fights in one month time? It's so much of a coincidence specially there's a lot of rumors floating around that 2 of those injuries are fake injuries...

Still doesn't make it GBP's fault though.

Interestingly, anyone notice something else in common with all the boxers above? They are all boxers that were not originally with GBP.

GBP just owns the U.S. rights for Haye and John.
Mayweather, Juarez and Ortiz were all originally with different promoters.

Yep not GBP's fault at all... But being the promoter of these cancelled fights doesn't speak well for their reputation... GBP failed to deliver...

Of course, GBP is not known to develop in-house talents... GBP is known in snatching boxing talents from other promoters...

As someone said to you above, HBO have been around the game a long time and understand that injuries can happen. You could say GBP failed to deliver if a contractual dispute had lead to this but not because of an injury.
