As I kept saying during the fight, "All the way out, or all the way in". Chagaev's judging of range was unbelievably poor.

so true, apart from chag's bobbing and weaving in first few seconds of each round Wlad probably found the heavy bag at his gym was harder to hit

I kept thinking that Frazier, whose style Chagaev needed to replicate, would have found Klitschko out fairly early. Kudos to Wlad for beating a highly rated (in terms of ranking) opponent though.

and did you ever think that it wasnt what chageav was doing wrong but what wlad was doing right.

frazier would of ducked and bobed under the jab and wlad would have run backwards with a big scared look on his face till he felt the rope on his back then he would of continued running but frazier would of caught him beat his body then killed his head in less than four rounds.wlads style works because the heavys are crap not because he is great.look at his face he is scared

Since he has beaten Brewster in a rematch, and since we are talking about Wlad now and not Wlad in 2004, it's pretty clear you are just posting hateful and poorly thought out ****.

The most likely reason for this is because that is all you have to contribute to anything. Keep up the good work.

Pretty much every major religion, every philosophy and even ****ing Star Wars movies will tell you that hate makes you a piece of ****.

He is good, but he is not that convincing in his fights. i would place him in the top 15 HW's.

The only HW´s of the past who could compete with Wlad are Lennox, Bowe, Holy, Tyson, Holmes, Foreman, Ali, and Klitschkos brother Vitali. And they all need their absolute A-game to win that fight.

I never thought i'd post anything close to this but after seeing the fight the other night here is my opinion. In the years ive been watching boxing (admittedly say 1987-present) Wlad would be one of the most difficult fighters to beat at the heavyweight division. The only fighters I can think of that I would pick him to be an underdog against would be a completely prime Holyfield and a prime Lewis. Holyfield at 6'2 would have a rough time getting to Wlad but Lewis at 6'5 obviously could. I know today's heavyweight division isn't great but that doesn't mean Wlad isn't. In my opinion this version of Wlad gets by a prime Tyson if he can make it past the first 2-3 rounds, he outpoints a prime Riddick Bowe, and going back to other 90's heavyweights he easily beats Tua, Moorer, Foreman, Holmes, McCall, Morrison, Ruddick, Gollotta etc...5 years ago before Manny quite a few of those previously listed would have had a chance to beat Wlad, the way though he has just built his domination (and he's only 33) is finally making me a believer.

Am I a fan? No, I'm admittedly the biggest mark for nationalism and will always be hoping for some American heavyweight to pull off an upset the same way I was with Lewis. However I'm finally a believer that Wlad is a great fighter.

The tentative Klitschko wouldn't have been pushing Frazier back and unloading bombs like Foreman did, I don't see how he'd have kept off a constantly moving target who wasn't going to be afraid to let his fists fly. If Frazier didn't get him early then Wlad wouldn't have lasted the pace. Chagaev could barely muster a decent attack. He was neither fast enough, nor had the style. Nor ultimately, the desire.
