First of all I must say that if Haye fights either of the Klitschkos he would quite rightly be a big underdog but I do not see why you klit fans deem him so undeserving of a title shot . He was an undisputed champion moving up, a situation that has occurred many times throughout boxing history when people go straight into title shots. Also in boxing today if Abraham moved up to super middle would you expect him to have to beat lacy, Bika and Green before he could have the honour of fighting Kessler. When Mayweather moved up to light middle to fight De La Hoya were you outraged that he didnt first beat a series of fringe contenders. As boxing fans surely we should be interested in watching the best fights possible as soon as possible and I really cannot see how watching the Klitschkos fighting people who have virtually no chance of winning (Povetkin,Valuev,Maskaev) can be entertaining to you. Unless of course you get some sort of satisfaction from watching overmatched fighters slowly broken down and stopped by your stupefyingly dull demigods.
I do agree with you although- be warned- this page will be infiltrated pretty soon with 'STFU NOOB' posts and the like.
It is not really a same thing to gain 7 pounds when you are a LWW than when you are cruiserweight. So you cant compare those situations with lbs only. Prosentual weight gain is far more important
your mentality doesnt suddenly change if you go up in weight, ruslan looked scared to throw, haye wont be
Nothing but what had you seen from Manny at 147 that made you think he could take DLH? Manny was a great fighter/warrior and unless I'm totally mistaken (as I may well be as I don't follow Manny much) it was his first fight at 147 and he stepped right in there with a big name. I think the undisputed champion of any division has more then enough say to go up to HW if he thinks he can and fight the top guy when the division is so obviously weak and devoid of any legit challengers, had it been full of Foreman's, Fraizer's and Ali's I could see why people ***** about the complaining of David Haye jumping right to the top but the sad fact is, he is our last best hope to beat these two men...at least right now.
I think he deserves the shot but I don't think he has any more chance at beating Wlad than Chagaev did. I think what pisses most people off about Haye is that he won't shut his ****ing mouth! He is mouthing off about what he is going to do to Wlad and saying that he is not impressed by his performance against Chagaev, when he has not proved himself at heavyweight yet! He is not an unworthy challenger though, just wish he would do his talking in the ring.
Nice post from a Haye sucker again:rofl This Situtiation is NOT the same than Future ATG's, proven fighters like Floyd jr, Manny Pacquiao jumping the divisions and getting into the mega fights. And what comes to super middleweight are you ****ing kidding? there is 4 differend champions nobody knows who the hell is Man there.. What Wlad would earn of fighting Haye if Haye were not proven at himself at hw after Wlad knocks him out with Jab alone?:rofl Sorry, but Haye being undisputed Cruiserweight kind does really not mean much in his case... Im starting to have a a feeling you Haye nut huggers are afraid Haye gets ko'ed by first of those sorry ass contenders while fighting his way to the title shot Me myself hoping Haye fight his way and beat those other contenders in a fashion way and that would be a Sweet
Does this explain it? It's pretty common at the lower weights - but what is the history of champion cruiserweights moving up and getting title shots at Heavy immediately? Or what about fighters who are champions at one weight division but have made numerous jumps up at the higher weight division only fighting mediocre fighters? Do these mediocre fights hurt their chances more than if they just cleared out and stayed at one division before trying to move upwards? Someone with a more encyclopedic knowledge of boxing than me could probably say, it must have happened a lot before. If anything, I think the fact that Haye has already fought at Heavy has hurt the perception that he deserves a shot. Or it could just be the fights that he has had at Heavy weren't impressive. I see both sides. Unified champ moving up to challenge for a title at a higher division happens all the time and I have no problem with that. However, the other side is a fighter who has gone up in weight already and failed to set the world on fire... his success at cruiser looks less impressive when contrasted to his fights at heavy. Combine that with the fact that cruiser>heavy is the biggest jump in boxing...
What does Wlad earn by fighting any of the overweight bums he has used as punchbags? Certainly not the money Haye brings...
1. So the fact that Haye is not overweight makes him a challenger? 2. The money Haye brings? Do you have the slightest idea how much money the Klitschkos ear with every fight?
I am not a Haye nuthugger as you say I merely think that this is by far the best fight in the division. Also I am not comparing Haye to all time greats with regards to fighter quality, I am comparing the situations. As for what Wlad would earn he would have a chance to display different skills because even if Haye were to lose quick which I think he probably would Haye would make him fight. This would disprove the theory that some people post on here that Wlad is a coward who is terrified of being hit. I personally think this is rubbish and I believe Wlad would definately have more respect from people outside mainland europe if he wins.
i think that haye is more athletic and would be more willing to exchange with wlad. not only that out of his 22 wins 21 have been knockouts which makes me think that he is gouig to be more entertaining than ruslan.
