16 defences. (WBO,WBC,IBF, RING (would of had WBA if Vaquez didnt get stripped) Ring Mag champ 5 years 10 World Champs beaten (8 Kos) 5 Current champs attracted money/glamour to feather division One of Biggest Ko punchers in Lowest weight class in recent memory. hes not a top 100 ATG but hes definately worth if Barry Mcguigan could get in. I would also say Hamed beat better opposition than Calzaghe did at Supermiddle. (he also boxed in US 4-5 times)
Barry McGuigan was better than him. **** the records, watch the fights, McGuigan would have pulverised him. And everyone knows I LOATHE McGuigan. And no, his only superfight, he lost, badly, and ran home crying talking about how brilliant he was. Who did he beat?
Barry McGuinan is one fighter who definately would have got KOD vs NaZ. I couldnt exactly see Barry putting a counterpunching display vs NAz could you. Hed have steamed in agrresively and got butchered.
benn had been snob twice...he may find it hard to make it almost only ATG are inducted in their first year of eligibility. There s no shame in being snob the first time around
He's close to the in/out line, but there are about 4 or 5 fighters from his era who still aren't in who are more worthy.
By Naseem Hamed who outclassed p4pers all the time.....yeah... :good Barry McGuigan was no Bel Castro
BArry was definately no Barrera, and hamed was no Steve Cruz(cant remember the other 2 who beat old Danny boy) Rofl
Cruz? Yeah because Cruz was miles better than McGuigan... Wasn't the blazing heat or anything :rofl Stop dropping random names without the circumstances, he may not have been a Barrera, but he wouldn't need to be to beat Hamed. Iron chin, very aggressive, brilliant boxing brain, world class skill, no fear whasoever= bad night for Naseem.
Aggresive/No Fear = easy night for Hamed (Barry did not have an Iron chin) The only way to beat Hamed is to counterpucnh him and keep discipline. an Aggresive fighter would get startched.
I found it hard to call, cause i really didnt like the Prince, so i dont know if my decision is biased or not. But i'd say no, cause when he finally fought a great opponent, he got beat. No shame there, but he never came back to try to avenge that.
Of course and very easily too! Just look at his resume. Not an atg certainly but hof easily. This shouldn't be up for debate.
