    Absolutely. Mcguigan would give him an interesting nights work though.

    You're conveniently leaving out Barrys skill. There are plenty of aggressive boxers out there, but they didn't have the heart or abilit to grind down an opponent like McGuigan. You would think Barry had no defence at all the way you speak aswell.

    The only way to beat Hamed is to be a world class fighter who won't let him clown around- check.

    Barry also had massive power and yes, he did have an iron chin.

    EDIT: If you bring up the TKO loss to McDonnell (Barrys only KO loss) then you really don't know much about McGuigans career...

    Is this a joke? :lol::rofl:patsch

    Hamed is one of the biggest frauds in the past 15 years in Boxing.

    He did not beat anyone then quit like a girl once he got beat.

    Amir Khan? wtf has that other fraud got to do with it? You mean we have Naseem Hamed to thank for the spoilt *******s like Amir Khan in this world?

    Also, as I said, seeing as McGuigans only true loss was against the desert heat more than his opponent, still managing to make it fight of the year, and the fact he was never knocked out or out-classed, fails to convince me that Naseem would have beaten him?

    By the standards of today, yes he will most likely benefit from being in the HOF. In my opinion? **** no, the guy quit after getting his arse whooped, thats not HOF worthy in my book. The deutch didnt even try for a rematch and even if he did he would never fight Morales, Marquez, or Pac.

    Bull****, after he won the Euro title he was fighting legit world champs and contenders in eveyr fight. McDonnell stopped him on cuts you ****ing moron, that's fair and square? yes it is, is that enough to condemn McGuigan? absolutely not. Prime v Prime McGuigan vs McDonnell? LOL

    Still young LOL, it was the end of his career. After McGuigan killed Young Ali he almost quit boxing. No I don't know it, McGuigan lost his second fight on points, avenged it very easily. Lost to Cruz in the heat, would ave won easily in any other circumsances, then got beaten on cuts by McDonnell at the end of his career. So wheres your evidence that Hamed would beat him?

    He is def worthy of a hall of fame. he defended his belt 15 times, I think more then any FW in history. and he would kill mcguigan.

    naz was perhaps one of the three greatest british fighters of all time
