Smokin Joe Frazier was the 13th of 14 children and at one point in his youth he tipped the scales at nearly 300 pounds which is why he took up boxing...to lose weight!

    Al..........

Mate, any slight change in direction throughout life can make for brilliant alterations or improvements.

Just remeber....... if it wasnt for your old man, Gerry would have sung that same song with two perfect ears!!!!!!

Really? When did this fight take place. I thought Ringo was born about 1937 or so. Conteh is listed as being born in 1951 in the Ring Record Book. Hard to see these two fighting as Conteh would have had to have been a sub-teenager.

Sorry OF, it originally said "Ringo Starr beat Alan Rudkin as an amateur" as a joke aimed at AF. I changed it, then he came up with the Gerry Marsden one. :yep

After their first fight, Ali claimed that Frazier might be the hardest puncher he ever faced.

Yep, it's been discussed on here before and was marred by a Kopite claiming it was Shankly's idea.
