Chad Dawson vs. Arthur Abraham at 168 lbs

AA is strong, solid but quite unpolished. I have no doubt he can still bang at 168 but Dawsons another breed...he took punches from guys like adamek and tarver who are not only, arguably, bigger punchers but they are better boxers and technitians. Add these factors to Dawsons supreme heart, talent, skills and ballsy determination and you end up with Arthur gaining an L on his record. IMHO

 

im not saying it WOULD happen, only that it COULD...chad coming down to 168 and aa coming up...i dunno how thats gonna affect either guy. aa seems eager to be able to put the extra weight on so maybe??

of course if aa doesnt stop him i would agree it would be a pretty wide UD for chad

Personally, I think Arthur is in for a HUGE surprise the first time he unloads on a big SMW. Guys like Ayala and Marquez ain't exaclty in the same class with guys like Bika and Andrade.:nono

 

Neither fighter has arthurs 1 punch put you to sleep power, adamek would probably be the closer comparison. Arthur also has heart and ballsy determination talent and skills. I or anyone honestly cannot have an opinioin because no one has seen arthur officialy at 168. Dawson definitely would be the majority favorite, but arthur has a punchers chance and would be a very live underdog.

The huge surprise is going to be how the 168ers react to the power arthur probably is going to carry to the higher weight.

 

AA cannot afford to lose any speed at all, and that often happens when guys move up. Arthur is also approaching 30, and that is often a time when we start to notice a speed and reflex decline. If Abraham loses any speed at all, his power will do him little good against guys like Dawson, Kessler, Bute, et.

 

Whatever Dawson wants to say, 168 is too small for him. At 168, he probably gets his ass knocked out.

 

I doubt he'll ever be in for a surprise as big as Kelly received at 170.

 

The Huge suprise is if PAPA smurf ever fight a world champ or even a decent still frsh former champ

AA would knock Dawson out at 168. Dawson can't come down to 168 while AA comes up to 168 and beat AA. AA would flatten Dawson.

 

Dawson has fought as low as 160, but I too wonder what will happen with his punch resistance.

 

Pav is possibly going to fight Sturm because he is a *****. Two bitches fighting each other when AA asked to fight both in their backyards lol...
