david haye has the best chance.....my long shot is chambers, just because fast eddie is improving, he just needs to stay in shape......i've been very impressed with eddie's skills.......he was very "green" i n the povetkin fight, and did you see povetkin's face after that fight?.... I would pick chambers to beat povetkin in a re-match....povetkin looked like **** against estrada...
Manny Pacquiao is fighting Wladimir Klitschko on November 17th at a catchweight of 185 lbs. I predict an early KO by Manny. Of course, his detractors will say that Wlad was weight drained and shot.
The smaller man in Haye actually has the best chance of anyone (besides Vitali, which won't happen). Haye's fast, powerful striking, makes it possible for him to topple Klitschko. If he stays out of range and doesn't get his own weak chin shattered all over the place, and is able to close the distance or counter to land his own "Hayemaker", that is the best opportunity in boxing right now to stop young Klitschko.
Eddie Chambers and Kevin Johnson lack power. Arreola needs to get in better shape before even thinking about fighting a Klitschko.
Chambers? He has little punching power and someone with no power is not a threat to Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko will walk right through whatever Chambers throws at him. Chambers is another Chris Byrd and we all know how he fared against Wlad. P.S. Chambers is the same height as Chagaev and has about the same reach
Basically, in order to beat Wladimir Klitschko, one needs the following attributes: 1). very good chin (Wlad will land something one way or another) 2). speed (gotta get past that jab) or be as tall as Wlad 3). good power (Wlad's chin is not glass, as many like to put it, but is far from good) Find someone with all of those 3 attributes and we'll have a good fight. Wlad has faced quite a few opponents lately who had 2 of these 3 attributes but not 3. For instance, Tony Thompson had a good chin and was as tall. He did land quite a few flush shots but he lacked power and "china chinned" Klitschko didn't even flinch. Peter had good chin and good power, but not the speed to constantly get past the jab.
Povetkin and Haye are the only two I have any confidence in to threaten Wlad. I wouldn't give them a greater than maybe 20% chance but its a chance.
That's the only person I think too, possibly Haye, but even now I think Wladimir would stop Corrie Sanders. Wladimir has adjusted as to where even the fast or swarmers with good chins will get beat up by him now.
Haye might have the best chance of tapping that china... speed + agression and power not a good combination for Wladimir. (see Corrie Sanders) But how will Hayemakers' chin stand up to one of those big Klitschko right hands? Maybe not too well. Dimmitrenko looks like he might have the size, skills, power and mean steak to give Wlad an old fashioned Ukrainian beatdown. Lets see how he looks vs Chambers... Arreola has the cahones to come forward and force Klit into the kind of brawl everyone in the world (except Wlad and Manny Steward) wants to see. Chris throws nice quick combinations for a heavyweight. I could honestly see an "in-shape" Arreola overcoming some rough moments in the fight (i.e. getting clocked and dropped by big right hands) only to come back and put Wlad's lights out later in the fight ala Klit/Brewster I... WTF?,,, I guy can dream can't he???
Boystov and Solis are two for the future. Of course Haye and Arreola are controversial enough that people will continue to talk about them.
I see nobody beating Klitschkos right now. Perhaps whenever they are in a wheel chair one day? Old folks home? I give Haye zero chance. Povetkin has very little chance either, but Povetkin did earn his title shot and would knock Haye out. Haye is a sick joke.
