yea tyson beat spinks and holmes.....and yes holmes was past it.....so was lennox when he fought vitali, and vitali lost.....

that should tell you something about tyson's standing in history compared to the klitschkos....

and i've said before douglas was better imo then a byrd, sanders or brewster.....

good call I forgot about holmes...yeah spinks might be a stretch at heavy... so I'm thinking Iron mike is 2-5 Losses to LL and Holyfield (2) and unfortunately Wlad hasn't had a chance to fight a HOF fighter... it's tough to make his case...

Well Tyson suffers from the same lack of competition that wlad is currently experiencing but his style made for exciting KO's early since he wasn't a decision type technical fightere so his rep grew...and rightly so he did what he was supposed to KO'd everyone in front of him

I think Tyson is over-rated but I also think he is a top 10 fighter of all time so it's only those who say he's the best ever I would take exception too... I mean I see Frazier giving him more than he can handle...

i mean a head to head is stupid... i always think head to heads are stupid when comparing fighters in different era's

    but lets fact this in...

all the klits L's have come by some form of tko .... the chris byrd loss was flukey bcause he had a hurt hand supposedly... dont know if he could continue or not... but anyways

you already know how tyson fights so i mean if you put 2 and 2 together..

but **** the head to head ****... tyson fought better competition... period

i dont think tyson is the greatest of all-time but the tyson that won his first heavyweight title, i think could KO anybody in history, including ali....but thats just IMHO

I'm not sold on the "tyson fought better comp" argument but it's debatable...the loss against Byrd I give Vitali alot of credit for being smart...the problem was a torn rotator cuff and as a former college pitcher with tears in my rotator cuff I know that what he did was inteligent because I pitched through the injury and now I can't lift my arm above my shoulder... so yeah it sucks he didn't fight through it but if he did it may have ben his last fight?..

vitali tore his rotator cuff in his fight against byrd. Incase you didnt kno its whats connects your arm to your shoulder. Its EXTREMELY painful, and impossible to box with. Once you tear it, you are never the same.

considering vitali has a phd in sports science, he ****ing knew what was going down

Tysons 5 fights against HOF's may be one of the most but his 2 wins aren't the best and we are stretching on the Spinks fight... however most of those fights are after his prime and jail time but again that's his own fault... ali had frazier and foreman which comes out to 4 fights...who am I missing?
