I've read all the Wlad vs. ATG's threads, but how about this?

Last night I watched Ali vs. Chuck Wepner, and before you guys clown me, let me say my piece.:yep

The first few rounds, while I'm gonna bet most of you are gonna say "Boring" or "disgraceful" etc, I found quite amusing and sometimes funny as hell, as Ali and the "giant" Wepner kept rabbit punching the **** out of each other to the point of makin' a S. Peter fight look tame as ****.:rofl

BUT THEN!!! came the later rounds, and this big mo' fo' was tough and energetic as HELL! Could have been me, but while crude, Wepner looked quite fast for his big ass size (esp. after watching the modern "giants"). He kept after Ali and down went the GOAT....only to spring back up and metamorphasize into....well, I do't know what, but it was AWESOME!!!!

Ali started floatin' around the ring with speed and grace that was just ****in' unreal! I saw a few times Ali would snap that BIG ASS head back with a lightning bolt jab while both of his ****in' feet were off the ground!!
Then, Ali, as you guys all know went into lightning fast power combos that put the big guy down for TKO.

NOW, how would Wlad have beaten (Yes, I think Wlad takes the tough guy, but IMO, this **** would be WAR) the Wepner of THAT NIGHT??

I couldn't help but think of this as I watched the fight on ESPN Classic Ringside Special last night, and would like to hear you guys take on how Wlad would dismantle this NOT ATG fighter, but looked to me like you'd better be one to beat him.:yep

Just a different approach from the Wlad vs. ATG's, nothing else.:good

Wlad fans....please educate me.:smoke

 

Also, while obvioulsly different in "builds", these two (Wlad and Chuck) looked to be, IMO about the same size.

good post, i've always said i thought because of the standard's of heavies is totally different today.....B+ guys for their era like a chavalo or quarry could beat a klitschko.......the k bros. would think hell would have opened up and sucked them in.

 

Thanks for your opinion, and like I said, it looked to me like it WOULD TAKE an ATG to beat that big ass man (atleast of that night). This thread is in no way an attempt by me to belittle the K's, just want to see how the fans would think Wlad would "go about it".:good

 

**Side NOTE**...but funny as ****. Wepner was in studio guest with B. Kenny and B. Sugar, and told a story: He said "I bought my wife a night gown on the evening before and told her she'd be sleeping with the HW Champ of the World tommorow. After the fight at the hotel room she was wearing this and setting on the edge of the bed and said: "Well, is Ali comin' to my room, or am I goin to his" ". ****in hillarious the way the now old Wepner delivered that punch line!!

Chuck was 6'5 and never weighed more than 220lbs, suffered his tenth loss vs Ali and never once held a title belt.

Yeah. He and Wlad are definitely comparable.

I never REALLY said they were, just IMO, both look HUGE in the Ring. I said Wepner was NO ATG, right? Now what I asked, sir, was in what way does Wlad dismantle this dude? I also, if you noticed, said IMO Wlad def. WINS!!, but would like to hear how you guys see him doing it....that is all.
