Floyd is supremely skilled at his craft

People are kidding themselves if they think there isn't a racial component in much of the criticism against Floyd. Like T.O., Deion Sanders, Ali in his time, Jack Johnson, and others, the larger society has always had problems with outspoken, "arrogant" black athletes. Aside from that, the overall fan approval of Mosley is quite curious, since he has some glaring losses, arguably lost his second fight with Hoya, got caught using steroids, and is now doing the same cherrypicking of opponents Floyd is endlessly berated for, claiming other title holders and contenders like Clottey and Berto aren't big enough pay per view attractions to fight and recieving little to no criticism for it. Huge double standards at play here.

 

He is skilled,but now he is a coward and people like the topic writer just dont see that.. I could care less if he raps,has bling etc.. I care about what happens in the ring,and when you have Floyd Runweather dodging a handfull of guys and is said to be the best well thats just sad.. Stop living in the past,this is now and Mosley want's him now..


My standards are high for fighters I like to watch.. Some not all Floyd fans are perfectly fine seeing him fight smaller guys,and thats fine,but you cant sit here and say your the best in the same breath and not step up to the plate..

I think he may have the best skill set of the 2000's, but it's so upsetting to see how he squandered a career legacy that could have trully made for a ATG top 20 career.

The opponents were there, the opportunities were there and to a degree I guess they still are.

It annoys me that the best don't always fight the best. Floyds not the only one guilty of that, but when you can see the quality it just sucks.

Floyd is popular because he does have a an exciting style when he chooses to implement it, and has had exciting fights in the past. Hhas a cocky attitude that draws both hate and love in boxing. Alot of Floyd haters are actually black. Many of them on this forum. Alot of his fans are white.
