I don't buy the bullcrap that he held Williams back in KO Winky. Williams did try, he just couldn't. That being said, Williams has all the physical tools to be a great champion-but it remains to be seen. There is more bureaucracy in boxing than ever before, and your defined not by your belts but who you fight-and in the end his is just a high, HIGH risk low reward ($) fighter, whose going to have a hard time finding impact/meaningful fights, thus it will be cumbersome road.

One of the things that meade the fab 4 so special was that they had each other. Even if Williams could compete on their level, there's not the competition around today

An embarassing outburst from a foolish man

He better start taking big fights. I dont think anyone at 147 wants anything to do with him so he should either clean out 154 or take on some MWs

people seem to ignore that 1st quintana fight for some reason but let that had been floyd losing to quintana then knocking him tfo u wouldn't hear the end of it. paul is a beast but he definitely can be beat if he loss to a b class fighter

:rofl:rofl:rofl This is the most self serving statement I ever heard. It's shame it didn't come from an unbiased third party. Williams whose accomplishments I greatly admire has the potential to reach greater heights but he has to do it himself and does not need hype from his handlers.

Williams aint **** ... been saying it for years. He aint nothing but a physical freak at certain weightas with out the technical merits to back it up. guy cant even establish the jab with those long ass arms. He has been once, and will always be found out at the highest levels!

Paul could accomplish a hell of a lot, but will he get his chance? There will be ice skating in hell before Mayweather would fight him. Pavlick isn't offering him a shot at the Middleweight title, and the top guys at 154 won't even mention his name, perhaps hoping that ignoring him will make him go away.
The era of Leonard , Duran, Hearns and Hagler was great because these guys all fought one another. These days, there is much more talk than action. Guys like Mayweather seem content to throw dollar bills around and admire themselves , while Paul Williams wants the big challenges, that may , by design, elude him.

he has a big enough from to win from 147-168 though (and honestly probably 168+ if he adjusts properly)... depending on who he fights and so on and so fourth... so i dont know about totally eclipsing those other guys but he could definitely leave a huge mark in the game if he continues to work hard and improve as he goes
