I don't care what a fighter comes in at, just don't ask a fighter to come in at a catch weight unless there is a hefty difference in weight. Coming in at 138 or 146 was not stipulated for Pac or Cotto in their last fights.

Look....this isn't a "new" situation. When fighters who faught at catch weights in the past. BELTS where on the line...Titles and fighter status were on the line. This isn't anything new. PAV vs Nard, Floyd vs DLH ect. ect. ect. And it goes back even further than that. I'm not sure why you are making such a big deal over what was expected?

The fact that he proposed 145 as fair weight for him means that he recognizes Pac's status as P4P king and as bigger draw. That's how it is. :D

Man, Id rather have Pacquiao fight Mosley or Floyd especially since its his going away fight.

Come on Pacquiao! go out with a bang! - No catchweights and Fight the best. You know people will discredit your win against Cotto with "weight drain", "he look bad with Clottey, he's a shot", and "he ducked Mosley".

EXACTLY! As a pro they do their job to meet the requirements made based on the fight at hand. It's their JOB to meet the required terms of the bout. So as Men, proffessionals and competitors they do what they do in order to make weight and fight on the designated date. Cotto and PAC were UNDER the limit which was their choice in order to make damn sure they didn't end up killing the fight or looking unprofessional by missing weight.

Why not make the fight at 147 then so Pac has the opportunity of picking up another belt in a higher weight class?[/quote]

Even if they fight at 145 the belt can still be on the line (up to them).

So you agree with the pac-DLH catchweight? Or are saying that so you could defend PBF-JMM?

If Pac-cotto is held at 147lbs, so you think its fair?

PAC will be met with fans or haters who will discredit him no matter what. But make no mistake about it. He'll get the credit he deserves from the masses and from the boxing world as a whole which matter more than a few upset Cotto fans on some message boards.
