Why so much love for Wlad?

What I don't get is why an Eastern European, who fights with an even more cautious version of the Lennox/Emmanuel style is so popular amongst the American posters. you guys derided Lennox for years calling him dull etc (which he sometimes kinda was i guess) then along comes Wlad doing the same, engaging even less and they you cream yourself's over him!! Its mad!

 

Wladimir deserves the respect. He is a very good boxer, ATG Jab, great footwork and a great ahtlet. He walks his way back at the top in a superior way. Nothing is comparable to that. Great Champion.

 

I would respond to your post but after I noticed you're from UK, I thought that will be just a waste of time.

 

This has nothing to do with Haye (which I think you are implying) I am just wondering why do people (mainly the American posters) like him so much.

 

Stop joking, Wlad is much more hated than Lewisrofl

 

Here are 10 reasons why people like Wlad:

1. He's a good boxer, and a world Champion.
2. He's got great punching power, and usually stops his opponents.
3. He's white (yes, for a lot of people this is a factor)
4. He's a gentlemen outside of the ring.
5. He's pretty much the best heavyweight around right now.
6. He's ginormous.
7. He actually shows up to every fight in great shape.
8. Red Hot Chilli Peppers fans stick together.
9. He's overcome adversity, by bouncing back after some pretty bad defeats.
10. Uhm, did I mention that he's white?

 

Yep, Wlad gets almost no love in America. I love after his fight with Iggy he got a standing boovation from the American crowd, after his lame performance that night.

Trust me, there are more haters out there than fans of Wlad. It just seems like there's more nuthuggers because of all the threads on him.

I like Wlad as a guy. He seems well natured and is occasionally unintentionally hilarious in his interviews (see: 'Pizza Face'). However, he is a boring as **** between the ropes and a career ending KO needs to happen to him soon. Hopefully from someone like Haye who is fast and explosive.

Don't mind Vitali though, that guy brings the PAIN and is NEVER afraid of A GOOD TEAR UP.

 

He fights constantly and is an all around great fighter. He is a great champion and thats why he egts my respect along with all of my friends that are black and white. Race has nothing to do with it.
