Prime Holyfield vs Wlad Klit

Holyfield would TRY to turn it into a brawl and fail. He was 1 out of five against Bowe and Lewis, who are of the same big HW prototype as Wlad. Wlad is more skilled, faster and powerful than Bowe and not far below Lewis. Bowe got into brawls with Holyfield because he was never the distance fighter Lewis was. Lewis controlled the range against Holyfield easily, as would Wlad.

 

Holyfield a good finisher? How often did he knock out an elite opponent who was in shape? He couldn't capitalize on the knockdown against smallish Michael Moorer and only knocked out the fat version in the rematch. He went 12 hard rounds against an ancient Holmes, who would be annihilated by Wlad. He struggled against little Bobby Chyz and couldn't put him away. He went 36 rounds with Ruiz. Holyfield fought with lots of heart because he had to, he simply was rarely dominant and has a mediocre KO percentage at HW.

 

I think this would play out like the first Brewster fight without the dominant first 5 rounds for Wlad. Holy just has the right tools to beat Wlad.

 

And Holy never would have got KNOCKED THE **** OUT by Purrity,Sanders or Brewster.

He finshed Tyson in their first match, thats one more great than Wlad was able to take out.

Holyfield was a beautiful fighter to watch, so fluid in his foot movement and combinations. Wlad never even fought anyone even remotely close to a fighter as talented as Holyfield. Yet Holyfield has already faced a fighter who was better than Wlad when he was past his prime, and had 2 relatively close matches with Lewis.

 

Prime Holyfield struggled with Bert Cooper,beat 2 aged ATGs in Foreman and Holmes on points and was beaten by Moorer.He was a good fighter but Wlad descisions him all day using his jab and footwork.Holyfield would take alot of punnishment in such an encounter but his heart will see him to the distance.

 

Holyfield beats the living day lights out of both Klitschkos back in those days I dont recall ever seeing any heavy weight figter as skilled as Evander was back in the days of which he was fighting Dokes, I mean he had every weapon there is for a fighter to have.

Evander is a composed warrior. Wlad would have a panic attack the first time a good shot landed. The end would come soon after.

 

Exactly, Wlad's china chin just can't stand a punch from Holyfield.

 

I think Holyfield struggles for prolonged periods of a prolonged fight - yet manages to stun Wlad on MANY occasions thoroughout it - possibly with a couple of knockdowns along the way.

This fight is a good one, it's hard to definitively pick a winner.
