Let's say there's a fighter you hate vs. a fighter you don't care about. In order to make your favorite fighter have a better leverage over that fighter you hate, you want that fight to bomb in the box office. But, if you are a fan of BOXING first, you would want it to succeed no matter the circumstances, because, after all, you are, a BOXING fan. So are you a fan of a boxer more than you are with the sport of boxing?

Just because you might want one fight to bomb doesn't mean you're not a fan of boxing. What if you felt the fight was bad for boxing.

I was probably more a fan of Morales than boxing as a whole because I loved his style & loved watching him fight but now he is done Im more a fan of boxing as a whole so I voted that option.

I still find it hard to bring myself to watch fighters that are boring & I usually stick to watching the elite p4pers, I rarely watch any amateur **** or even pro`s with bad technique, it pains me TBH.

Its hard to be a fan of boxing in the last 2 months, too many great fights are getting cancelled or postponed.

The poll results on this thread is absolute bull****. If you look at most of the threads on this site you will notice that 75% of the posters are just fans of their favorite 1 or 2 boxers. It's just none of them will admit it.

I've been having this very conversation with another poster. I'm way more a fan of JMM than i am of boxing, and when he hangs them up, boxing will lose most of it's appeal for me. Don't get me wrong i can't wait for the marquee fights like Cotto Pacquiao, but the main reason i watch boxing is this man

I used to just follow Foreman and then Tyson, but I slowly began following so many names that I found myself to be a fan of the sport in general, watching every big fight and local event.
