    Why?

What on earth can he achieve by fighting on - except to make more money.

But if you got millions already.

    Whats the point?

What do the Brit forum think? :think

maybe he still feels he has something to prove and is in denial about his fading ability to compete at the top level.

i'm sure its not just for money anyway

I agree, he isn't going to reach new heights and I reckon Khan would stop him and probably Witter too at this point of Hatton's career. But, he loves the money and both fights, especially the Khan fight would be huge, too huge in my opinion, it will happen.

well..i would think that from hattons own point of view if he got a shot at khan {if khan wins world title} or junior witter {if he wins his title shot} he will think he has got a chance against them...witter getting old and khans chin, thats what i think will drive hatton on...and either fight would be huge...and he'll want to go out on a win...and it would be another title to the cv, one of the big 4 title belts...
i think thats what hatton would be thinking...

Yep I agree but I think more than likely they would finish him instead.

Aside from money, does Ricky really want to go out on such a sour note? He's got the chance to say thanks to massive UK fan base by setting up a fight in Wembley against a fighter who wont decimate him the way Manny did. That sounds like a pretty good reason to me

aye....he may have a chance against witter, but it depends how witter looks against alexander..and who will be training hatton.

i should have added in that post - that's what i think hatton will be thinking, not me :)

None whatsoever. I think he still feels he has something to prove though and as long as he thinks like that, sadly, he'll keep fighting, IMO.

I'd like to see him retire but it certainly looks like he may be waiting to see how Kahn-Kotelnik pans out.

Didn't I say that from the day after he got sparked right until now? It was so ****ing predictable. Khan-Hatton is bound to happen...its always been on the horizon if Khan comes through. It makes Hatton tons of cash, it probably looks winnable to him, and the same for Khan they figure Hatton is on the slide like Barrera was.

To answer the original question, to not go out in a horrible loss in America. I know I wouldn't want to go out like that.

I think if Khan hadn't have been fighting for a belt (yeah, I know!!) at 140 he'd have still probably gone for Bradley.

I think he just wants to give one last good performance! Least he could do lol and even if he los, as long as he wasnt aboslutely punished it could sitll b seen as a somewhat dignified endf to his career

Maybe his Mam and his Dad want to make themselves look like classless morons again and Jenifer wants to cry in front of the cameras as Ricky gets his ass kicked again.

Maybe he thinks he owes the British public one last fight on British soil as only 1 of his last 7 fights have been in the UK
