Nah, the best Floyd can hope for is a wide pts loss IMO, Leonard was naturally bigger + a better overall fighter also.
Mayweather has a real shot at being stopped in this one, for real.

I believe Leonard's ability to adapt came from his unbelievable fighting heart.

Leonard had too much heart for Floyd Mayweather.

He stays infront of Leonard he gets hammered, Leonard is a better punch picker than Castillo and DLH, its probably one of the reasons he was the best finisher in Boxing in his day, he was so accurate and precise with his shots.

Mayweather could take it to the outside and potshot but Leonard would put mad pressure on the guy if he did that.

He could win by sticking and moving but that would be extremely hard against a guy like Leonard who kept coming when he was in the mood (Hearns/Kalule)

The only time i've seen Mayweather fight like a warrior (the way Morales Pacman Barrera Marquez etc. did) was against Chavez where he was genuinly stunned and even cut but he showed some heart to skillfully fire back and stop chavez, but asides from that there has been a lack of 'heart' and that's why when pitted against someone like SRL he'd prolly lose

I don't think that this will be the one sided afar many might think it would be.
I think they both share the same best asset. It is that they both know how to win regaurdless of what their oppoents offer. In the end I like Sugar Ray Leonard who is the bigger man to win.

It's hardly a fair comparison, Leonard was huge compared to Mayweather.

As to who's the better fighter, compare them when Mayweather has retired. Again. Actually that's one thing the two of them have in common, constantly ****ing retiring knowing full well they'd be coming back again.

I think its close but Ray Leonard is busier and thus wins a decision. He's also bigger. If they were the same size...

Leonard would use hooks to tear the Philly shell apart as he did to Mayweather Sr. That handspeed will keep a defensive fighter locked up tight.

there is only one answer to this question, here it is, floyd would never ever fight Sugar Ray and would duck him

he would use excuses to dodge such as he should get the bigger purse, Leonard isn't a big enough draw, the fight would make better business sense later.
