Agree with most of this post, but he did not beat Margarito clearly.

If you don't know to score body punches, and prefer activity over actual scoring, ok, then "Williams won clearly."

Actually, I understand your point and it is a good thing and it is marketable.

Who hasn't been willing to take on all comers that's in Paul's position though? People get this twisted. Mayweather was willing to take on all comers back then too. So was every other fighter desperate for money and fame trying to claw their way to the top. That's about where Paul is at, IMO, not who he is as a person. He has to prove that before we can say it - after, he's made it.

I think no matter what he will never have a big fan base. Hopefully he doesnt go the rout of trash talking in order to build fans. That **** kills more fans than bring in new ones imo. Its ok for short term but in the long run will turn off fans.

San... Do we have to go through this **** again???

    C'mon bro. He won 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112.

It was unanimous, in Margarito's backyard, and the rounds he won were clear and concise. He won Rounds 1-6 easily and won Round 12 very clearly. Rounds 7-11 were pretty much Marg Rounds, with one or two of them being very close (7 and 10). Look at the fight man. It wasn't an ass-whippin, but it was clear.

With all that he's already accomplished, he's still not at all popular. Hard to imagine that changing, unless he can get a well promoted, high-profile fight.

Clear on your card, NBA. Not clear on mine. At all.

Watch it again, and this time score body shots, and punches that actually land.

And, NBA, you're one of my favorites, but don't think I expect you to have an objective outlook on the subject of a fighter who lives in the same general area as you. It's your obligation to see it his way. The other people who can't score this fight I've already referred to.

Same goes for you. One of my favs, but not an objective observer in this case.

Let this be the only time you keep company with people who can't score a fight.

lol i mean obviously im going to be biased to paul williams but i judge fairly... the majority of boxing fans would say pw won that fight

    probably like 65% to 45%

which are pretty reflective in the score cards

The majority of fans say Calzaghe beat Hopkins, and Cotto beat Clottey.

Do you agree with them, WWM?

I said Cotto beat Clottey, but I'll admit that Clottey won, LOL.

The majority always scores activity. What else is new?

    Damn!:patsch

I guess I have to leave this to everyone else, then. I'm disqualified...:rofl:rofl

Don't make me put up a public poll. I think you will be disappointed n the results if you take the Williams and Margarito fans out of it...
