Lets say that Morales gets enough rest and comes back 135 and fights Marquez there
Can he be sucessful? alot of times when a boxer takes a long rest they come back better than when they have retired.
I also have heard the rumors that Morales is planning a come back.

In this case Morales comes back and challenges Marquez...even if Marquez looses to Floyd he will still be the ring champion at 135.

How do you see this fight playing out.

It would be a huuuuuuuuuuuge PPV, which I would buy without hesitation.

P.S. Morales is 33 years old

Those rumors are old news, but if he ever return to the ring I'll have to say that JMM will win UD.

    huge el terrible fan.

i think he should stay retired, but a part of me says, go for it if its against JMM.

both i think have been slowed by time and it would probably even things out. raheem and pac had superior speed compared to EM.

if its against JMM, it would be ok. but against slick fighters, i say he should stay retired.

Marquez by wide UD or possibly even a TKO/KO. JMM is just too good a boxer for Morales who's had a long layoff.

    My two favourite ever boxers

But at this stage, JMM would be far too much for El Terrible

Many people though that he beat Diaz at 135. IMO morales just needed to take a break and let his injuries heal.....Think that if he comes back by the end of this year or early next year he can have a good chance at beating Marquez.....its stylistically good fight for Morales, he picks his spots very well

Big fan of both, but frankly Morales is an old 33 as far as ring age goes. Too many wars. He could still beat a lot of B-level fighters, but as we all know Marquez isn't a B-fighter and he is still pretty well preserved at this juncture of his career. I know Morales' heart still has it, but his body doesn't if that makes any sense.

Even if Morales is dead serious on coming back . . . it's doubtful he can make 135 . . . 140 maybe.

At 135 K.O. Morales would be weight drained. Wide UD at any other weight its pointless at the time. In their primes it would have been like watching a canvas getting painted into a masterpiece.

Easy KO win for Marquez, who has become a better fighter than Morales ever was, IMO.

I agree even in their primes Marquez would win atleast 8 out of 10 times.
