WBF ... no kidding, that means nothing for Andrew
    - he is not coming back to have the final shot at mighty WBF ....

Andrew is a dreamer, anybody esle would be long time ago enjoing his retirement.
Lets hope his dream come true at the very end and he scores the mayor belt just once ...
one fanstactic thing (especially after so may free blows) is he
never completely gave up his deam to become world champion.
If not he still can become truck driver .... :deal

Are you sure Andrew would like to endure another embarasssing 1st round KO under the hands of a mediocre fighter? I don't think the guy has already recovered from the physical and emotional trauma from his last fight. If you love this guy, you should allow him to walk away into the sunset w/ his health and emotional makeup intact. It's time for him to hang up his gloves and enjoy his retirement. The guy is no B-Hop who is about to retire this year if he doesn't get a fight.

His handicap is more of mental makeup than physical. It's fear of losing and probably fear of winning which he cannot handle. I have my doubts if he will come back to fight again. It's only fans like you who get titillated seeing him on the ring that want him to fight.

Golota will not fight again. Mark my word.

There's 2 things a normal man can't resist the temptation of, and 1 of them is money.

To answer your highlighted question? Golota himself. He should have quit after the Molo fight.

Sounds like your ass is flaring up again. The last fight was stopped due to an injury where most fighters wouldn't even be able to complete the round with.

I was at Adamek's training session this morning.

Met him, Ziggy, and Scoop Malinowski.

Ziggy said Golota's arm is healed and that he is currently training.

Some of the info I got regarding Adamek sort of contradicts the main news I heard regarding Andrew, but according to Ziggy, Golota wants a final fight for the "Polish Championship" against none other than Adamek.

Ziggy said he's interested in having this bout in Poland.

I'm not sure if this is practical, though, as it seems Team Adamek is all about a January showdown with Hopkins, and apparently, HBO is very interested in putting this fight together.

There is no need to fight Adamek. It proves nothing for either man. Why not fight Botha for the WBF and call it a day??????

I'm not saying I disagree with you, just passing on what I was told.

I still have doubts that this would happen, anyway.

Firstly, it makes no sense for Adamek whatsoever, especially if he is able to land the big money fight with Hopkins that he really seems to want.

I was just glad to hear that Golota has healed and is actively training again. This is a good sign that something should happen relatively soon.

Wow! I never thought I'd be boarding this train again after the last fiasco. But as long as this Express is still moving along then I'm along for the ride.

I actually couldn't be happier that he's resuming his career. Somebody who's faced what he's faced in the sport, and keeps coming back like this, must love it. I would never have thought that Golota would still be fighting into his 40's. But I for one am still happy to witness it. I just can't let go for some reason.

I don't know who wrote it but whoever wrote that piece about the train starting up after being dormant would be awesome right now! That was pure poetry and would get me even more pumped up right now! I think it was Heavyrighthand. Gotta look it up. Hopefully he can pen another original like that for which must be assuredly Golota's last hurrah.

    Go Golota! :happy

Now that Jetski is a full time beret wearing painter, you had to pick up the slack. :!:

Nice homework. Did Adamek himself have anything to say about fighting Golota?

I do not see this fighting happening, I think this is just wishful thinking on Golota's part. I dont see why Adamek would muscle up to heavyweight just to fight a guy with no title, even though it would be a big fight in Poland. At the end of the day, sho' me da money. But, I dont think it'll happen.

Not really, but he did say that he was considering a move to heavyweight if he cannot secure a big money fight.

However, it looks like HBO is interested in Hopkins-Adamek for January, or so I was told.

I tend to think not, or at least I tend to hope not.
