    This is damn tricky, Rumsfeld.

What immediately springs to mind is:

    1) Ali
    2) Louis
    3) Johnson
    4) Holmes
    5) Foreman
    6) Dempsey
    7) Marciano
    8) Frazier
    9) Liston
    10) Tyson

    1. The Greatest
    2. The Galveston Giant
    3. Kid Dynamite
    4. The Manassa Mauler
    5. The Brown Bomber
    6. Big George
    7. Smokin' Joe
    8. The Brockton Blockbuster
    9. The Easton Assassin
    10. The Fighting Marine

It is my very personal opinion that Mike Tyson is the last excellent heavyweight not aided by performance enhancers. Today it is a new sport and Lennox Lewis is the best of this group.

And I try to rate head-to-head, simply because all the accolades mean nothing once you go in through the ropes. I would say the list of lists would be a who-beats-who.

    Thanks.

I did not count on so many people participating. This is more of a pain in the ass than I anticipated.

    I'm a bit surprised myself.

Maybe limit it to the first 50? Or the true Classic addicts?

I mean, I'm here a bit, but I don't have near the knowledge of Magoo, SuzieQ, or Janitor.

    Just being honest.

Nah, I'll still let it run its course.

For those favoring a different scoring method than the one I proposed, if you feel inclined to tabulate the scores the way you think it should be done, by all means, be my guest.

Personally, I prefer a weighted points system that heavily favors your number one selection and one that also weighs the top five more highly than the bottom half.

Contrary to the opinions expressed by a few others herein, I believe the results will reflect a more accurate consensus of who belongs where.

Well, other than Johnson, I got 9 of the top ten, right. But I am surprised that Holyfield is so low.

Anyway, glad that there seems to be consensus that Mike Tyson doesn't belong to the top ten :good
