KP wants both their titles. Unifying the division is a goal he set immediately after the first Taylor fight. Now, do you honestly think Sturm would fight Pavlik immediately after he knocked out Abraham? It makes sense to take Sturm first.
keep in mind this is the same kelly pavlik that blamed his loss on having a "fever" when he got his ass handed to him by the old man hopkins.......I lost so much respect for pavlik after that......I would understand if he won a couple rounds and atleast looked competitive but he didnt.....hopkins exposed pavlik.......sure that was bernard hopkins, the phenom......but I think it showed guys with good defense and polished skills hang L's on Pavlik all-day long......... Abraham for YEARS!!!! has been wanting a fight with Pavlik, its documented, but once he started having weight issues pavlik wants to fight? What was his excuse back then "I had fevers"..... I'm still skeptical about pavlik at 168, like hopkins said afterwards, "pavlik is great middleweight, but he is not a 168 fighter".....pavlik uses his size advantage and power to beat guys....his "skills" are just average....guys at 168 nuetralize his size......pavlik is cooked
First off, none of Abraham's opponents that I criticize were mandatories. In every case Sauerland CHOSE weaker opponents over better, higher ranked, fighters. Second, if you think Ayala was a better opponent than Zuniga, you need to find a different sport to follow. Third, if Taylor had not vacated the IBF title, AA would not have it. If AA had not turned down a shot at Taylor in favor of a fight wth Demers, Kelly would have won the IBF title along with the rest of JT's trinkets. I showed you 4 occasions over the last two years where Sauerland/Abraham chose weak opponents over good ones, and yet, you still believe that all the yapping is meaningful. How the **** you can look at historical facts, and still support this carefully crafted marketing gimmick that is Arthur Abraham is beyond me.
Hopkins is a master at taking away what a fighter does best, if you cant go to plan B you wont beat Hopkins even at his age. Pavlik is not active enough to deal with Hopkins, he allowed Hopkins to fight at his pace. with that being said, I dont think that it has any effect on how a Pavlik fight would look vs other fighters that arent as good at taking the other guys best stuff away. You have to outwork Hopkins, like Taylor, and Calzaghe did.
This post is so misinformed, and assinine, it can't even be addressed. I won't even bother to ask if you are aware of Thomas Hausser and his roll in reporting Pavlik's condition before the Hopkins fight. I'm quite sure you wouldn't have a clue who I'm talking about. Ya -- the guy who lost 4 rounds to LuJaun ****ing Simon is comparable to Hopkins. Pavlik would knock Abraham the **** out inside 8 rounds. Not a TKO, a sparked the **** out and left for dead KO.
Froch is hittable but is a legit SMW, packs a punch and obviously has heart. He'd push either KP or AA to their limit. Kessler would beat Pavlik easily. He's quicker, sharper, with far superior footwork. Kessler was able to best even a near-peak, highly motivated Calzaghe in a conventional boxing match, so it wasn't until Calzaghe started giving him distance and angles -- something Pavlik obviously cannot do -- that he gained the advantage. I'd favor Pavlik over Andrade, but Andrade would be a live dog. He wouldn't get pushed around and has a proven chin and power. Bute would be favored over Pavlik. He's too skilled for him, IMO. And Pavlik would have next to no chance of handling Dawson, who might even knock him out.
Your nuthuggery of Pavlik is getting out of hand, totally. As Abraham has soft touches in his record, Pavlik has his share as well if not more. Let's take a look at their major wins and compare, you make it sound with your bull**** like Pavlik is an established ATG with your laughable comparisons. Pavlik's top opponents: Miranda Taylor x2 Abraham Ikeke Miranda x2 Eastman And Abraham didn't need as many fights as Pavlik needed to finally step up. The point here is simple and your theories mean nothing, Arum said publicly that they don't want the fight because Abraham is NOT POPULAR ENOUGH IN THE STATES, they didn't bother to mention all the money theories you're starting. Now that the man announces he's moving up because he has weight issues Abraham is all of a sudden a superstar in the USA and they're open to negotiate. What's more pathetic is you're backing that up and going far enough to say Abraham is ducking him if it doesn't happen. You also fail to remember that it was Abraham who was supposed to fight Taylor rather than Pavlik after his first meeting with Miranda and what put things on halt is Abraham's jaw injury after that fight as he was forced to take time off after the surgery and forced by the IBF to take an easy opponent(Demers) before stepping up again. Pavlik too his spot then, fought Miranda and the rest is history. Otherwise it was supposed to be a rematch between Abraham/Miranda.
I'd like them to sign the fight to see it happen. I assure you the one who does a belly dance after taking a shot as proven already is Pavlik and not Abraham, that's why Arum doesn't approve of Abraham but approves of feather fisted Sturm.
Both fighters are garbage and I have the fights with me, especially Zuniga. I can guess why he would rate Zuniga world class, after all that guy had what it takes to score a knockdown against Pavlik. If he's considering an ancient McKart(who in his prime is a journeyman quality fighter anyway) an opponent worth fighting for Abraham then you know someone's nuthugging is going to realms we have never seen before.
I've had my issues with boo in the past, it is cordial now, BUT, MCKART, ZUNIGA and ZERTUCH are ALWAYS considered by him to be better fighters then a gevor or marquez. I am not saying they are or not, just that Boo holds the above mentioned in most of his posts when comparing both fighters resumes.
All these guys fall in the same category, it's not like the Middleweight division had any better anyway and Boo will most definitely support the guys Pavlik made a career feasting on so let's put what Boo thinks aside. Marquez is a legitimate opponent compared to all guys in the list there as it was supposed to be Lorenzo who was highly regarded and Marquez beat him.
Yes -- Marquez beat Lorenzo, and ONE FIGHT before that McKart/Marquez was a draw. They are on the same level, and both have held world titles. I have NEVER criticisized AA for Marquez because he was a mandatory. Simon was a voluntary. One fight before Simon/Abraham, Simon fought Jose' Spearman. McKart, a natural 154, beat Spearman at 168 after nearly 2 years off. Mora/Ayala was a draw. Pavlik dumped the Mora fight as part of negotiating his new contract with Top Rank. Abraham was more than happy to fight Ayala.
