    Yes Hatton deserved to fight them so we could see him stomped and put to bed.

    For PAC, there's Cotto, PBF

    Just my opinion tho...

    All depend how you want to look at it. But I say yes. Why????? After the Collazo fight everybody knew Ricky was low risk and with a large fan base in UK. Especially now that the dollar is not doing so good and the Euro is worth more. There were more brittish than americans at his fight against Floyd. I am convinced the money cow that night was Ricky Hatton, not Mayweather.

    Pre-fight, very few were actually claiming that Hatton didn't deserve a shot. You can't really tell how much better fighters are compared to each other until they actually fight, so I say yes because while Hatton was the underdog both times, many could still see him pulling it off or at least putting up a good fight. It's only in hindsight that we realized how far ahead Pac and PBF were compared to him.

    I can remember Coach Freddie Roach commenting before the fight that Ricky Hatton doesn't belong in the same ring with Pacquiao.... Roach was labeled delusional after stating that...

    Hatton was the man of the division and probably had the biggest following in boxing, so because of the first reason he deserved the fight and for the second he got the big fight.

    Im still not sure if he deserved to be called the man at 140 but he beat evry1 who was put in front of him and was the biggest draw around that was available. So good on him.

    Hatton was given the benefit of the doubt, I think he was Manny's best option at the time. Nobody thought Hatton was going out cold in two rounds, yet everyone new it would be a great fight as long as it lasted. So to answer your question... maybe he didn't but who else would have at the moment, when people were sure that Mosley was just too big for him? Hatton was the best choice.
