    It's obvious he is punchy, or just stupid.

    9 years ago, in 2003. Dude doesn't even know what year it is anymore.

    He get's hype because of a sparring session with Floyd, sparring. Yet he drew with Dorin, who was destroyed by one shot to the body from Gatti who two fights later was utterly and completely destroyed by Floyd.

    Anyone think he has a chance at all with a comeback.. he'll probably get a title shot, lose badly and call it a day.

    I heard that he schooled Mayweather from a friend of mine a while back and had a hard time believing it. He probably spent all of his money but a guy like him would look good on an up and comer's resume. How about Devon Alexander or Victor Ortiz?

    Hardly ever seen a guy get so much of a reputation on a sparring session but not even come close to living up to it in the ring...Probably Valero is todays version of Spadafora in that regard.

    This guy is going nowhere.

    At Spadafora's very best, he had to turn his back on Manfredy and flat-out RUN to get thru the fight without getting cornered and hurt.

    I think people only liked him because of his tattoos, prolly the same people in love with Pryor.

    Mosquera would have knocked Spaddy over the top rope. Totally different talent levels between him and Valero.

    Nah...Mosquera was a superfeatherweight and a fairly average one.

    I think he would have at least have some trouble with Paul...If Vicente won, it wouldnt be pretty.

    And you are totally ignoring the point...People were gushing at the vage when Valero looked so good against Morales in a spar..but he has yet to face a livebody since Mosquera or live up to the hype people were so quick to bestow on him.

    Even at this stage though...Valero would have molested Spadafora.

    i feel obligated to say this...because it should be stated everytime they mention that floyd/spadafora session....just so the uninformed are informed....spadafora was near the end of camp...in his best shape....floyd was just getting started...and not even near peak shape

    He was a good boxer in his prime.

    Would have given Mayweather a run for his money back 9 years ago in 2002 or 2003.
