What does elbow pain while punching mean? I get it in both left and right elbows from punching, more so in my right hand, it has a minor pain in it whenever I extend it, the one in the left elbow isn't bad and I can punch with it, I can probably still go with punching 100 percent with my right hand too, it's just got pain. I think I hurt my right elbow last week and it just got worse with repetition. So what do I probably have with my hurt right elbow in terms of possible diagnosis and what can I do to get it better?
If I need to I can still train near 100 % with my right hand.

I often suffer with this, It's a twat, usually if someone isn't offering enough resistance on the pads and falling short in sparring, particulary left hooks or when they go wide and your arm catches on the persons shoulder. A week off usually does the trick, sometimes I think I have trained through it though and it has got better within a week or 2. But when it's so bad that you can barely punch, you need a rest.

It sometimes happens to me when I miss a (wildish) straight right hand.

Do you shadowbox with weights, by chance?

No, just with my 16 oz. training gloves. I was able to train today fine, for some reason my elbow feels better than it did yesterday.
    Should I shadowbox with weights?

No, unless you want to aggravate your injury.

I do stamina drills which involve jabs, right crosses, and 1-2's, which are usually 60X9 sets and 3X3 heavybag work where I do all types of combinations and practice.

first make sure it's ur elbow that hurts and not ur upper forearm muscle
if it's ur elbows though ur probably over doing ur workouts or more likely that u r extending ur punches too much

Make sure you punch through your target instead of just hitting it on the very end of your punch.
