there is no point, the cat is out the bag and Hatton has been comprehensivaly exposed as a total fraud. Only the most deluded of Man United fans can think he was ever a top 20 p4p fighter.
I suppose he could finally grow the balls to fight Witter, and lets see once and for all who was really the best 140 lber in the UK in the last few years.
    Witter cleans his clock.

The only way forward for him now is a domestic fight against either Khan or Witter, and IMO he would beat both comfortably. Hatton is just too one dimensional to fight any real world class opponents but he is still the best we've got and it would be shocking for him to retire on such a low point of his career. The problem is finding a domestic fight interesting enough for him and the people who would have to back it financially

If Khan gets beat what about..... "The Resurrection Fight"

I think it's pretty apparent by now what has been going on down the years. He has been caught in the Man United exec boxes a few times with United players, and turnip head walked him to the ring against Castillo I think it was.
The man cunningly manipulated a notoriously large and success starved fan base, claiming to be one of them. The blue moon intro etc was well over the top and transparent in the extreme. It was all a fraud, to help fuel his manifactured boxing career.
Make no mistake, Wicky 'Atton is no City fan.

you've got to remeber hatton lost to 2 top fighters, he would demolish khan and still beat witter, he still managed to stop malinaggi and collazo, i think people are looking into the pac fight a bit too much, the same thing happened to amir khan, and he managed to bounce back

    Its what Calzaghe said though

He could still fight on for the money

But it would be the wrong motivation for doing it

He is already fincially well off

he has achieved everything he wanted

so he has drawn a line and said STOP

if Hatton fights on just for money - where does it stop?

i completely agree with your point but not sure if it won't stop it happening though.
i still have a real sneeky suspicion that JMM may happen especially ih he loses to PBF he'd travel for a big pay day and is big name.

I don't live in any fantasy land, I just judge my fights and my fighters on what I see rather than twisting everything to fit my pre-conceived agenda. "Hatton was Mayweather and Pac's easiest night's work". Do I take it you're too young to have seen Mayweather-Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, Ndou, Bruseles, Gatti, Baldomir and just about all his other title fights bar DLH, Castillo and possibly Judah? Mayweather himself said he was "terrified, I kept hitting him and he just kept coming". I think I'll take his judgement over some armchair fan with an agenda to push. Losing to Pac in that manner was disappointing, but does not erase all of his achievements including being linear champ for four years, beating 2 p4p fighters and 6-7 other top ten operators.

As for Hatton's future, I've said on numerous other threads I would like to see him have one homecoming fight for the fans and then call it quits, go and buy a pub in hide and drink the profits all day. But as regards the post you quoted, Amir Khan is no Manny Pacquiao, not even close. It was only last year that he was getting ironed out inside a round by an unproven novice. The year before that he was getting dropped heavily by Limond and a shot to **** Gomez, who are domestic level at best. His defense looks all over the place under pressure. If Hatton is half the fighter he used to be, he drops Khan in a couple of rounds. The guy's chin is shocking. Even if he's not, it would probably still be enough. That said, there is little point him risking tarnishin his legacy by losing to guys who would not have held a candle to him at his peak and I would rather he proceeded as above.
