WBC Vitali Klitschko aims, according to the Moscow newspaper 'Sowjetski sport' with the Russian WBA champion Nikolai Walujew(Valuev) to a fight in the autumn of 2009 have agreed. "It is true. We are hot on this encounter, was Walujew quoted by the newspaper.

He was in a telephone interview with the 37-year-old Ukrainian to a fight in September or October of understanding. The discussion should, however, the associations and the promoters agree. Walujew was last in December 2008 in Zurich against Evander Holyfield in the ring confessed.

Promoter Wilfried Sauerland, which is under contract Walujew confirmed the interest in a duel with the older of the Klitschko brothers. 'I know from the telephone call between Niko and Vitali and I have therefore already at the wedding of Boris Becker with Vitali discuss, "said Sauerland Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa. 'I will in the coming days to contact Vitali record and the discussions continue. "

By contrast, denied Klitschko manager Bernd Bönte contract talks. 'We currently have no interest in a fight with Walujew - either Vitali or Wladimir. Sauerland negotiate through the media, always with himself, 'said Bönte. Both Klitschko brothers want their next fights against other rivals deny. Bönte: 'Perhaps that is for next year a possibility. Currently Walujew but is not an issue.

i guess vitaly's manager boente doesnt want to reveal that there will be soon very tough negotions between vitalys and valuevs camp.

vitaly stated in an interview after his brother had schooled chagaev that he wanted to fight valuev next.

  4. Vitali wants to fight smaller people than himself, 6-3 would be better for him than guy's 7-1 at 39, maybe he feel's like he's slipping ???:huh

One article says one thing, the other refutes it. Its apparently uncertain as to what Bonte and Vitali really want to do, as they be intentionaly acting as if thepossible Valuev fight is not a certainty, in order to keep negotiations more doable.

Jesus. You can't honestly believe that Vitali Klitschko would be afraid of fighting Valuev. Both Klitschkos have made it clear that they want all the belts, and previously Vitali specifically has said he wants Valuev even before these latest reports.

As it's already been pointed out, this is probably just a negotiation strategy of some sort. Valuev could make a case for demanding a large cut of the purse if the two of them fought, since he's also a beltholder. My concern is that the Klitschkos will price themselves out of a fight that Valuev probably isn't too keen on anyway, and the Valuev camp will claim that the Klitschkos are being unreasonable and use that as an excuse to take on some lesser-deserving challenger like Meehan, Bidenko or (God forbid) Ruiz.

Pretty sure Vitali will go for this fight if it really can be made. The other options can wait a little bit.

How about Valuev fights Haye first and the winner then fights Vitali. It would make a Vitali-Haye fight more interesting if Haye can come in with a title belt.
