what does he have to do then? If no one in the division is even close to being able to beat him, and he dominates every fight he is in including fights against belt holders and undefeated highly ranked fighters. That works for me.

 

No and he never will unless Vitali retires or looses so he could become undisputed champ. There cannot be a lineage while two fighters are happy to share the world championship, brothers or not.

 

It's a good debate. If Vitali retire right now then he would be absolutely undisputed. I don't give a crap if they are brothers, when they are both there are dangerous, KOing everyone then there is a big dispute and it's not clear at all.

I'm sure Vitali will retire fairly soon and I'm sure Wlad will still be there - as UNDISPUTED champion.

I suppose we could have the title unified to make a new line, but oh wait... they[understandably) won't fight each other.

So until someone becomes an undisputed champion, Lennox is the last true champ.

I think some people have a problem with basic geometry here.

A line is a connection between two points.
The line has been broken. We need to make a NEW line.
A new Line can be formed when we have ONE man with a universally recognized claim to be the true champion.

 

if vitali wasnt his bro i would say no but as their not ever going to fight the answer has to be yes, clearly no denying it.

 

The linear champ is Vitali. No he didn't beat Lewis, but he was the last man to face Lewis and deserved a rematch based on his crowd pleasing fight where he was getting the best of Lewis' in the exchanges. Vitali begged Lewis to give him a rematch, but Lennox knowing that he was past his prime and couldn't compete the way he used to at such a high level, stepped down and let Vitali take his crown without a second fight.

Vitali is the linear champ, and if Wlad or anyone else wants to prove otherwise, they will have to beat him in the ring for it or wait until he retires. The Chagaev win did little for Wlad, seeing that there's still two more belts out there, and most boxing fans still believe Vitali would beat Wlad in the ring. The Heavyweight Confusion continues, just as I expected.
