I think Maidana takes Ortiz into deep waters but that Ortiz will swim his way out and pull out a win. Its a great matchup, best one this weekend.

My feeling is that Ortiz is going to be down once in this match or be hurt a little bit at some time and he will win only if he shows real courage. But maybe I overestimate the Argentinian and he is going to be target practice in this match. I've seen him in short clips on you tube. Have you watched the Kotelnik fight?? He was good in this fight???

I,too, think that Maidana takes Ortiz into deep and unknown territory, but I dont think that Ortiz will swim his way out.

Maidana by either tko or ko!:D

I don't think Ortiz can swim without getting wet either. :D

Amazingly, most american posters here on esb seem to think that Ortiz will have an easy walk in the park,so to speak.

Ortiz has looked great in his fights...............against very limited journeymen and clubfighters.

Maidana plays in a different dimension. :D

i think people are overrating maidana because of his last fight, honestly the fight wasn't that great, both maidana and kotelnik were not exactly impressive

i think ortiz is gonna smoke him... easily...

Maidana has never faced somebody like Ortiz either, so it goes both ways. And Arnaoutis isn't a journeyman or a club fighter. He's actually somewhat decent.

I'm expecting a challenge from Maidana, possibly hurting Ortiz at some point.....but I think Ortiz will pull through to stop him later on.

what dimension is that? he's fought kotelnik and lost, and then ko'ed a buncha nobodies and has beens
ortiz hasn't fought no one either, but ko wins over people like maussa and arnaoutis are just as good as the names on maidana's shitty resume

Maidana gave hell to Kotelnik in a world title fight in one of the best fights at light welterweight I ve seen within the last couple of months.
Maidana has proved that he can be competitive with one of the best fighters at his weight division.
Ortiz hasnt proved **** so far.Yes, he looks impressive against tomato cans, journeymen, and clubfighters, but hasnt fought anyone remotely outstanding up to now.

Dimension? Well,my point was that Maidana doesnt play in the same dimension in which Ortiz's foes played.

I think when all is said and done this will be a lot like Torres vs Cotto.

Have you really watched Kotelnik vs Maidana??

Their fight wasnt that great,eh! You must have watched a totally different fight then.Their encounter was pure fun to watch............a very entertaining and exciting fight.
Both Maidana and Kotelnik were not exactly impressive,eh!
Well,I guess you prefer watching Ortiz knock out overmatched clubfighters and journeymem to watching a classy world title fight anyway!:D

Ortiz's best wins are better than Maidana's. And Kotelnik isn't anything spectacular. He's a basic technician...nothing more. You're selling Ortiz short and overrating Maidana. This is a perfect matchup and Ortiz def. ISN'T out of his depth.

Who the **** has Maidana beaten? Nobody notable FFS. Ortiz has Arnaoutis (far better than any win Maidana has) and Maussa.
