well look at every other professionals record, they are all the same, nobody said one thing when Bernard "irish golden balls" Dunne took the fight against cordoba, and the 2 columbians the hylands are fighting both went the distance with him amoungst others.
Cordoba is a world class fighter! You can't really compare the Hylands opposition to Dunne fighting Cordoba.
Are you helping with this promotion. If so, I wish you every success mate. Really looking forward to it.:thumbsup
well the 2 guys the hylands are fighting both went the distance with cordoba and are real strong-come forward fighters (videos are available on you-tube) but according to people they aint the greatest opponents, so records or no records, i think they have a hard night work ahead of them, I cant wait til they start fighting for european and other bigger titles within the next 12 months and doing it on thier own without sponsers and money bag promoters. then we will see what people have to say on the subject.
I can't wait either! I know Dunne has had it easy with promotions and tv backing and it must be difficult for fighters like the Hylands who don't have any of that, so I suppose we shouldn't criticize. What's the deal with Paul and a possible EBU title shot? There was talk of it a while back.
Nope just a fan of the lads, they are doing the professional thing on their own without big promoters and sponsers, and on every boxing forum all they get is ****. well maybe when people agree to fight the hylands then everybody might have a different opinion about them, Ask any top irish boxer in the same weight division about going up against any of the hylands and all you will get is excuses and more excuses
You dont need to go on the defensive here on this thread mate. Most if not all of us our big fans of the Hylands. Ive been to the Hyland shows before, and have always been impressed by them.:hi:
well Paulie is a frank maloney fighter so its basically up to him, i know paulie can make both bantam and super-bantam weight, so its either against that french guy that beat Napa for the bantam weight or Rendall Munroe for the super-bantam but like i said its all down to Maloney to make it happen
A fight with Munroe would be interesting. I don't rate the binman much, I reckon Paul could take that one on points. The french guy Bouzaine, I think his name is, is a handy boxer and would be a tougher test than Munroe imo.
well its a bit annoying the way people go on, about opposition, like what another post said the hylands have no big promoter, sponsers,t.v deals Etc... so it is hard to get excellent opponents, Like Bernard Dunne had 21 Professional fights before he got a european shot and before that he was trained by Freddie Roach, John Duddy has had 27 fight and is still waiting for his world title shot. then there is Andy Lee, Andy Murray and even Dean Byrne they all have excellent people behind them and all have similiar records and have faught very similiar opposition as the hylands
I can see Paulie bringing the fight to both of them and winning comfortably on points too, but its down to maloney to make it happen, from what i can gather even if paulie doesnt fight munroe, i think he has to vacate it to challenge for a world title, so Paulie might get his shot anyway
i think a fight against munroe would be dangerous for paulie but he would easily take malik bouziane..why isnt paul fighting more regularly on maloneys bills does anyone know?
I cant see Paulie beating Munroe. Munroe is a big lad and a strong boxer I think Paulie needs a couple more fights before he fights Munroe. Munroe is still to be tested in his last few fights he hasn't looked anywhere near a shot at a World title his next fight will prove a lot.
The last Couple of shows were low budget events and was costing too much money as they were even without adding pauile, but Maloney had everything mapped out until Napa got beaten, because Paulie was to fight Napa after that Bouziane guy and win or loss that would of really kick started Paulies career. but Napa got beaten and Maloney didnt know what to do
