Their is so much wrong with this thread. First off, Cotto has not been the one acting desperate to fight Pac, Mosley has. If Cotto was that desperate to fight him than he would have agreed to fight Pac at 143-144 (like Mosley said he was). Now you ask why he doesn't rematch Mosley/Clottey or fight Paul Williams. None of them offer the money that a fight with Pac does. He beat Mosley by UD not SD as you said. He just beat Clottey in a close fight. He has fought all of the top welters out there besides Floyd (who has avoided him like the plague) and Paul Williams. It's not just him that isn't fighting Paul Williams, none of the top welterweights are fighting Paul Williams. Why isn't Mosley fighting Paul Williams? Cotto is getting his shot to fight the best p4p fighter in the world, a guy that every fighter with in three weight divisions of him wants to fight. Cotto's trying to get payed and you're gonna hate on him for that? "Why not pursue fights with real welters?" Like I said, he has fought all of the top real welters, besides Margarito no one else can say that. So please get your facts straight before you decide to post a thread like this because you're just making yourself look stupid.

    OMG!
DLH fighting at 154 & up for a long time and mid 30 in age
dropping to 147 = most probably weight drained.

Cotto fighting at 147 lately from 140, AGE 28, AND fought weeks ago weighed 146 against Clottey.
    dropping to 145 = DRAINED???:huh

    comparing apple to orange:rofl

Wow what a crappy post. Fight real welterweights huh. I guess Quintana, Mosley, Clottey are nothing. They were or are world champions and they were all bigger than him. And why does he have to fight Mosley/Clottey when he all ready beat them in tough fights. Most people agree that he won both. Use some common sense.

Cotto beat Shane Mosley.Hatton has never beaten anyone remotely as good as Mosley except for (arguable-I feel Shane was better than him,too)35 year old shot Tsyzu, who had come off of a victory against equally shot and former Tsyzu stoppage victim Sharmba Mitchell. And I don't think anyone one earth feels that any Hatton would even just make the distance against Shane and Clottey.

Yes..he was but only b/c Cotto and Shane both wanted to fight PAC should they get past their oppoents which Shane got passed Marg and Cotto past Josh. But Cotto and Shane were the ones wanting to get PAC in the ring. Cotto said he would go as low as 144 to make the fight. Shane does sound desperate b/c he's 37 and a win over PAC would be a great way to build up his legacy and put him in a position for Bigger paydays until he calls it a career.

If he wasn't calling out and just willing to accept the fight then why are they making the fight? Bottom line is Cotto wants PAC and PAC wants Cotto, but its Cotto who is looking for PAC moreso than PAC looking for Cotto.

lol....PAC has been moving up in weight for the last 3 years or so. PAC is about big fights and bigger challenges. If not Cotto he has plenty of other options....Cotto on the other hand does not. Well..no options that pay or gives him the kinds of rewards like a PAC fight.

But that isn't Pac's weight which is why he has to grab the WW at catch weight...... Cotto is not desperate for this fight, he just wants to fight the #1 pvp fighter.. you guys are thinking too much about size.

Oh my god I'm so hurt. Listen relax it's true, Cotto is not a great fighter. Felix Tito Trinidad is a great fighter and a Champion. Cotto is good titlist. not a champion.
