Glazkov is a medium-hitting action fighter with a chin. Which Kretschmann lacks, he was just iced in 1 by a clubfighter. :(

It's great to hear that there's another tough Ukrainian heavyweight in the mix. However, the Ukrainian that I think all of us want to see turn professional badly is Vasyl Lomachenko, the Val Barker winner. He looked sensational.

    Yeah I know Glazkov.

He beat my boy Cojanu at the world championships in 07.

You are right, nick! All true fight fans out there want to see Lomachenko turn pro.

Glazkov is a very decent heavy who will surely make some noise at heavy, but his potential is limited up to a certain degree whereas for Lomachenko the sky is the limit.

Absolutely. I can't believe one of the big promoters hasn't been banging down the doors to sign Lomachenko..he'd be a P4P level talent if he ever turned pro.

What's amazing though is that he was only 20 in '08. So he could potentially win another Gold in '12 and turn professional at only 24 years old.

That's great news. I don't know why, but I thought he was older than that.

Odo and NickBarker how do you rate Vasyl Lomachenko against the skills of Povetkin?

It's kind of hard to compare the skills of a featherweight/lightweight size fighter like Lomachenko to a heavyweight, even a smaller one, like Povetkin. I will say this: though I'm a fan of Povetkin and think he's easily the third best heavyweight in the world right now, I see so much physical and technical potential in Lomachenko. Povektin is an impressive athlete, but Lomachenko appears to be an absolutely elite one.

    YEP! Well spoken,nick!

Lomachenko is the undisputed nr.1 around the globe in his weight division which is and has been loaded with numerous talented fighters from countries all over the world.
The number of excellent heavy weights at the amateurs is far smaller.
Lomachenko was the best fighter and gold medalist of the entire olympic tournament in China's capital Beijing. The elite fighter of the elite!
