There was a guy who dropped by the Golota Express and posted a website that sold Golota t-shirts a while back, but I have no idea what era this was. I wanna say it was around the McBride fight. Anyone know? Or am I gonna have to scavenger thru all 630 ****ing pages??:admin

My hope now is that King gives Golota a totally undeserved title shot against Valuev.

King should just pretend the Austin debacle never happened and put Golota in against that giant sack of ****.

    GO GOLOTA!

Can you imagine the uproar over that? Remember what happened when Golota was given a shot at Byrd? Everyone screamed bloody murder at King and the commissioner initially said she would not sanction the bout because AG did not earn the shot. At that time, at least AG strung together a bunch of wins against tomato cans. Imagine if Golota were to get a title shot now, immediately after an embarassing loss. King would be blasted by everyone. The only situation I can see where this would happen is with Golota being a last minute replacement.

Don King's explaination for his inexplicable decision in giving Golota another title shot against Valuev directly after the Austin loss.

"I have decided to put Andrew Golota in with Nikolay Valuev because Andrew Golota, the GREATEST POLISH HEAVYWEIGHT OF ALL TIME, is without a doubt the most deserving heavyweight to challenge Valuev for the heavyweight championship of the world. First he beat legendary Mike Tyson conqueror Kevin McBride, knocked him out in the 6th round. Then he went on to be beat the then heir apparent to the heavyweight throne, MIKE MOLLO. Beat him with only one eye! It was a courageous effort by Andrew! He was about to knock out Ray Austin before suffering an injury that prevented Andew from finishing the fight. But everybody knows Golota was about to knock him out. Even my grandmother could see that and she's dead! So to vilify Andrew Golota for his rightfully deserved title fight against Valuev, which I predict will be the FIGHT OF THE YEAR, would be totally preposterous and unjust and would only hurt the integrity of the great sport of boxing! PRAISE Andrew Gololta!!!"- Don King

That is a good question. A rematch against Golota would probably be the biggest paycheck Austin could get at this point anyway.

You are forgetting the legitimate injury which can actually be used
(in a good King faith) to diminish the significance of the latest loss
which from that point of view was not embarrassing at all.

With some media support Andrew can be put back to
the status before Autin fight very easily.

I like the idea of a rematch against Austin. If Golota wins, he will have proved his injury loss a fluke and talks of a Valuev fight can begin immediately.

Austin will either rematch Golota or go back to mopping floors inside shitty boxing gyms.

Austin is lucky he didn't catch a heavy Golota punch.

I know he doesn't 'deserve it', but I really hope King just throws him against Valuev.

Besides, deserves got nothing to do with it.
