Did anyone feel that Victor Ortiz was not supposed to lose this fight? I mean he was hyped up and groomed to be one of boxing's next great contenders. I've heard so many good things about this guy and some even compared him to a young Oscar de la hoya. I mean he has the looks, the charisma, and decent boxing skills to become a superstar. But when things got rough he show absolutely no heart. What a disappointment! Hopefully he can recover from this loss.

Of course we was not supposed to lose. A bunch of men ringside **** their pants when he went down the last time. Watch the Re-play.
Kinda like when Baldomir put Gatti on his ass....

Still waiting on one of these highly publicized prospects to make it big.

    Kirkland: behind bars.
Angulo: owned by a B-level former champ.
    Ortiz: bludgeoned by Maidana.
    Khan: embarrassed by Prescott.
Andy Lee: roughed up by a club fighter.

Will Danny Jacobs or Gamboa be the next to suffer a bad defeat? I hope not, but there seems to be a trend developing where these young fighters get massive expectations heaped on them early, and then they crack in what appear to be only reasonable challenges.

Go **** yourself. Chef is more qualified to discuss boxing than anybody.

Ortiz showed a complete lack of heart in not wanting to fight on and being so bothered by a cut that was not that bad.

He admitted his head never cleared from the first knockdown he failed a big time after the cut even Oscar was yelling on him to box he didn't listening his corner wanted him to quit on the previous round.

why? b/c he's wlad's cook? i tend to ignore his posts. but this one caught my eye. the guy has no place talking about other fighters. he's rather jubilant that Ortiz lost. my guess is he's adapting the mentality of the mob here. "hype job got exposed" ha shut up.

I won quite a bit of money betting on Maidana tonight. Just the type of bet I look for. I knew how tough Maidana was and I knew it was gonna be difficult for Ortiz to get him out of there. But, I also felt very confident the fight wouldn't go the distance. Plus, I never believed all the Ortiz hype.
