The jungle would certainly have rumbled, but what would be the outcome

Foremans "defence" consisted of extending his hands outward while Ali clumped him over the top.

Sounds a lot like Rahman's defensive versus Lewis.. and we all know what happened to Rahman in that 2nd fight. :!:

Tyson v Foreman is a very hard fight too call, anything could happen but stylistically the fight favours Foreman I think, could be wrong tho.

I would think the second George would have a better chance than the first (at least post Ali when Lyle had him in big trouble and got outboxed by Young), the second George never went down and just punished his opponents(although most were small HWs and mediocre outside of Qawi{faded}, Cooney{faded}, but had a good showing against Holyfield. But you figure if he lost to Morrison then Tyson would probably destroy him. On second thought the first Foreman(who destroyed Norton and Frazier) would have the best shot but who knows what happens if Tyson lands flush. Side Note: Tyson never faced a puncher like Foreman so it would've been great to see how he handled Foreman's power, especially his jab.

I think Foreman would have been poisoned by Tyson's camp, just like he was when he fought Ali. He would get winded and feel like crap moving into the 5th or 6th and then get Koed by Tyson.

I think Tyson would lose by KO in 4-7 rounds. I say that as a big Tyson fan. I just look to the closest example we have of similar styles, Frazier, and he was destroyed twice. Ali won on a strategy based on gassing him not out boxing him. Not saying that gassing him isn't boxing, but it isn't directly out boxing him.

Taking nothing away from Tyson, but I just don't see how he could close the distance without taking brutal shots. He would sit outside in his peek-a-boo and then attempt to get inside using foot speed and weaving. Tyson never did all of those slick head fakes to close distance nor did he have a distance closing shot like Frazier (lunging left).

There has never been a puncher like Foreman. A young Foreman would be winging shots on him. Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom! Push off. Then Tyson would get desperate and tired. Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom... Game Over!

Got to give Foreman credit though. For a guy who looked like it was his first time in the gym he was a wrecking ball. Tyson is one of the few punchers I give a fair chance of beating Foreman due to the massive speed edge. His chin was also tremendous at absorbing single shots, it always took a sustained beating over 8 or more rounds to put him down. Look at the shots Lewis, Ruddock, Bruno, Douglas, Holyfield hit him with which Tyson shrugged off.

There is the old Cus saying that no swarmer ever beat's Foreman which has weight. And you have Foreman's demolition job of Frazier which plays on the mind too. But Tyson is better in every physical area than Frazier ans is 10 pounds heavier than Frazier at his best. I'd favor Tyson here in a shootout because he can pull the trigger faster and has the superior chin, unlike Joe against Foreman. This is a hard one to pick though and I can see Foremans uppercut being the difference as well.

Very difficult fight to call. We have seen Foreman destroy a bob and weaver in Frazier, but Tyson was of a different and superior breed. I can see Tyson winning this one, but Foreman would have a live chance.

    Foreman by K.O.
    A fighter w/Tyson's style can't hurt George.

foreman would destroy tyson, he packed too much a punch and with that holding the opponent back defence tysons t-rex like arms would seldom land
