No, I'm right. He would have kept his titles if the 'title' fight was at a catch weight. No way to know for sure what he would have done had he gotten Kelly to agree to a catch weight in the first fight. He might have found the will to fight another 154 pounder in a title defense.

YES. "I'll fight whoever brings me the most money, Larry". Merchant: "You mean you won't fight Pavlik?". JT: "Who ever brings the most MONEY!".

Got to remember the time frame too. Pavlik was looking great, just KO'd Miranda on the same broad cast, and Taylor vs. Spinks was described on the air as "Dancing with the Stars".

Scar....I'd say Taylor situation with Miranda is more similiar to Kelly's with AA. Both Miranda and AA teams talk **** thru the media, where as Pavlik got in line and cleared the ****in' way.

Doubtful considering his title defenses. So far Taylor's title defenses **** on Pavlik's and Pavlik won the title in 2007.

I never said he didn't clear the way, that's how he got his title shot. As far as who brings him the money, didn't he fight Pavlik in the end?, if he didn't after saying that then sure we have a discussion but since he did there's nothing to criticize.

Taylor was there to fight everyone available and his resume as champion proves it.

    Exactly Bro:yep

JT's last 9 fights have been against former, current, or future world titlists!

I have a suspicion that HBO wants Pavlik/Froch more than they want Pavlik/Abraham or Pavlik/Sturm. I have no proof of that. It's just a hunch. I'd rather have Pavlik/Abraham, but Froch is the right package to make KP look like the ******* love child of Willie Pep and Godzilla:yep

Shits on?? Hmmm...Maybe it's not too late for Team Pavlik to get ahold of Spinks or Ouma? Or maybe K9 Bundrage or somebody like that?

It was the end of -'07 Scar, Sept. 29th to be exact. That's...let's see...carry the 1...hmmmm, year 1 year and 8 months, ****er. AND in that time Pavlik has REMATCHED Taylor, cause Taylor said he had to if he wanted the first fight. Fought, but yes lost to Hopkins at LHW, still that's pretty daring for a voluntary fight, no? Come on with that hatin' bull shiz Scar.:rofl

How am I hating?, I'm just telling you the truth and I know Pavlik moved up for Hopkins, that was one fight and it wasn't at light heavy but another catchweight 170.

Compare both their title defenses and tell me I'm wrong. Future fights don't look promising enough either for him to make things look better.

1st, Scar, as I'm sure you know, if you come in at 169 you are in the division of LHW.

2nd, we have been over how JT had a WAAYYYY deeper division to choose from.

The selective memory of many posters, not just Scar, but MANY posters is an odd thing to behold.

Pavlik's last 6 opponents are; Rubio, Hopkins, Lockett, Taylor, Taylor, and Miranda.

Abraham's last 6 are; Oral, Simon, Marquez, Miranda, Ayala, and Elcock.

    Now, take away the **** mandatories and you have;

    Pavlik; Taylor, Taylor, Hopkiins. Miranda.

    Abraham; Oral, Simon, Ayala, Miranda.

Figuring out who is fighting the better competition aint exactly rocket science now is it?:think
