    Graham's legacy is underrated. Hagler didn't want to fight Herol for a reason. Minter was strong and tough but would look terrible against Herol and tire out trying to nail him. Easy and wide points victory to Graham.

    Hagler did not want to fight Graham because the fight was not worth a fifth a fight with Leonard was.

    Also Hagler had on and off had a 14 year rivalry in one way or another with Ray, and always wanted to settle it, in the ring.

    I think it may have something to do with the national AAU championships in 1973. Both were there. Hagler voted boxer of tournament.

    Yes, my Dinner with Conteh was right, it goes back to the 1973 AAU's. Hagler money situation meant he had to turn pro shortly after this, whilst Leonard as we all know went on to Olympic Gold.
